Hive blockchain - Lots of articles with catchy titles, but almost nothing inside

I've encountered lately several traps on the Hive blockchain and InLeo when it comes to articles which should be the long form content on these platforms. In such cases while some articles have attractive titles, when I'd start reading the content I would find as much information as in a thread - up to 200 characters even. And sometimes just something too generic to be able to get something practical or acknowledgeable out of it. Add the fact that sometimes you cannot allocate too much time to crypto and when you encounter such cases, it brings a little bit of lack of motivation to read more as the given information just didn't cut it. Nor that we all should follow same guidelines like trying to have articles of at least 500 words, but when you encounter just three or four phrases that don't have substrate, it just feels a waste of time to go over such content. And I think that also another effect is that curation enthusiasm is curbed as you think you've found something real good, only to discover that there was nothing behind the curtain.

Don't get me wrong, articles can have also few phrases if those are telling more than it is written. Or if the given information expands outside of just few words... but if not, maybe it is better to choose a short form of content creation. This is just my opinion as after few such cases, my motivation decreased and it simply took a bit from the pleasure to look for good and valuable content. But as I am writing this article about it, I am already feeling better so maybe this is a good thing. I was lacking inspiration lately, so while doing more curation and reading, this offered me the opportunity to write something and get it out of my chest. 😀

In the same time I appreciate the diversity and the way we all write long form content, so I wouldn't uniformize anything in this direction. Just that I found myself in some cases being over enthusiastic after reading the title and when I got into it to find barely any information about what was promised. Probably this is why also we end up appreciating a certain number of creators and keep on going back to those instead of increasing our followers list. Those that earned our trust, tend to deliver in the same manner over and over. Thus, sometimes we end up limiting to what we know and appreciate. But some other times I would like to expand into new readings, new content creators and perspectives.

Starting writing is not something we've all been borne with and I am conscious that there is a path of improvements to get better. Just that we need to realize that and do the effort to corelate the catchy article titles with their content. And once we build the trust of good content, I am sure that more followers and curation will come with it. Recognition will happen organically and such creators will gain more and have a feeling of success. This will ultimately bring motivation and desire to create more, which is beneficial for the entire ecosystem and each of us.

That's the entire rambling from me on this subject. Will continue my reading and curation in the search of the gems hidden in the long form content. In my case, I appreciate more the long form content compared to short form content, thus saying what I've said. Cheers everyone and happy writing!

I have a few people I enjoy their contents. Overall, there are people who creates goods stuffs too. I read more of crypto contents, and I don't really explore too much out of these niche, but I do agree that some contents on the chain are disappointing.

Yeah, I agree as well and I hope we don't dismiss long form content as in my opinion it holds greater value. Having a list of readers to which you can go back to is building and built based on trust and is great to have such a network in which content gems can be found.

I do read some posts where I would like to find more about it. But sometimes even I like just to write a little after 12 hour shift, maybe to remember some ideas, maybe to vent and rant a little about something that stressed me. Some post are long and some are short.

And yes, some people do try only to write something every day, whatever that is, I noticed.

Yeah, I guess we all find ourselves in different situations but I found some really interesting titles and was really enthusiast about the subject, only to not find too much about that in the actual content. We are all different and I think that is a very good thing, just that sometimes probably I expect more... 😀

Seeing the positive side, those posts provides writing inspirarion! 😁 I would say that most (all?) of those are just extractors/spam, something that unfortunately we seem to be getting more. Up to us not to reward low effort content, especially if that's the only thing brought to the blockchain. !BEER
