Every time I try to classify something, suddenly some aspect appears that breaks this classification over the knee.
In fact, a wild duck differs from a domestic duck only in the amount of subcutaneous fat, a domestic duck moves less and does not bother itself with searching for food.
You know, I looked after hamsters and aquarium fish... but I did not eat them, this is a more honest relationship between a person and an animal lol.
I will never understand Michelin chefs who serve rare duck breast... they apparently have a special agreement with Monsieur Salmonella :)
Yes, are you happy with the results of breeding geese?
My land plot is far from a lake and a river, so I doubt that geese are neighbors on the land plot :)

Thank you for your kind reply.
I have not raised geese....a friend of mine has...and she and her husband had a sort of water trough ...that he built a ramp up to the water for the geese to access. The ducks were raised in an enclosed area like a aviary...inside was a child-sized pool for them...they seemed quite happy. Water at the property is a must.
Many people who eat meat and dairy product want to know where their food comes from and want to know that the animals are treated well....so they raise the meat themselves. It is a thought. Not everyone is cut out for such endeavours though.
I have to smile when you say 'Honest' relationship. Animal husbandry is a completely different experience from the pet experience. ^__^
