Successfully Reached a total of 200k Hive Power

Hive power plays a very important role in the Hive ecosystem. It decides how invested are we on this platform and it also provides an opportunity for us to vote on Witnesses and Proposals. As this is a stake based blockchain, the more HP we have gives us more power on this platform. These are general things and with the help of Hive Power, we will also be able to earn a decent amount of Curation rewards based on our stake. If we plan our curation well, we can even make it happen passively and earn a good amount of passive income from this platform. There are several ways in which we can use our Hive power.

First of all I'm very glad and happy to share that as of today, I have reached a totoal of 200k Hive power. Even though the current value of Hive is down, I consider this to be a big achievement. When the value of Hive is back again to what it used to be, this 200k Hive power will be a huge thing. I don't want to dream very big but I would be very happy even if the price of Hive reaches 1$ or close to that. Once upon a time 100k was a big struggle and it took me a lot of time to reach 100k Hive power. I did not imagine that I would be reaching 200k now.

There are many things that we can do with our Hive power. In the first paragraph of this post, I have explained why it is important to have Hive power on this platform. Now let's see how we can make the best utilization of the Hive power.

Delegating to a curation project

There are many curation projects that are dependent on community delegations. We can delegate our Hive power to those curation projects and earn curation rewards from the same. Mostly the curation projects will have some curators who do manual curation. I have delegated some of my Hive power to @indiaunited which is a manual curation project and it shares more than 100% APR from the curation rewards in the form of IUC tokens.

Following a curation project

If you don't want to delegate, there are some curation projects that you can follow using Peakd automation or through hive.vote. By following the curation trail of these projects, if they vote on a post, our votes will also follow their votes and we will also be able to set the vote scaling. I have followed @indiaunited with my main account and at the same time, I also have my alt accounts following my main account.

Manual curation efforts

This is the best thing that someone can do. Doing manual voting is something that is advisable because our voting power can be perfectly utilized and at the same time we can also engage with the community. People who have enough time that they can spend on this platform can do manual curation.
