People moving away from IT sector

There are many earning opportunities and the IT sector is always in the top. But in the last few years, when this AI and ML came into existence, people who are studying Data Science are having good scope. But the regular app development and website development opportunities are slowing down a little bit. I think the major reason for this is also because of AI and ML.

The current state of the IT industry is a bit confusing after COVID. The work from home culture was very comfortable, and after that, it changed to hybrid. Now from this year onwards, many companies across the world are calling their employees back to the office full time. They no longer support hybrid or work from home culture. I don't understand the exact reason, but maybe accountability can be the reason, but the requirement is moving towards that direction.

Attrition is also high

Many employees don't agree with forced Work from the office. They either switch jobs or move to something that is totally different from their current job. Attrition is becoming high when hard rules are imposed in the team. Moving to a better job is a good thing, but it should be done in the right sense.

People are giving up their IT jobs and moving to other sectors. Some people start their own business and they are very successful with it. Those who created a YouTube channel during COVID times are now super stars in YouTube and they can make a sustainable revenue from YouTube now. Of course, it takes a lot of effort, but it is good to see them trying something outside IT and trying to sustain there.

Someone I know had a deal with their Employer saying that they will only work from home. The employer said that they cannot give variable pay if they continue to work from home. This employee said it is okay. The reason behind all these things is because this guy is doing agriculture in the morning and evening in his land and in the remaining time he is sincere to his work.

AI and ML

Artificial Intelligence has played a very important role in the technology transformation. It is a breakthrough to have all our doubts clarified from AI and ML. This part has a great opportunity in the IT industry. Someone who is studying AI and ML and creating real-world use cases has a great opportunity. Unfortunately, there are also dark sides for this. Some jobs are being taken over by AI and ML. Some part of the IT job has been automated with the help of AI. We don't need any developers sit and build some basic websites or basic applications. We have to feed data to AI and it will provide the code for it. Only a few tweaks would be necessary for that. This is what is taking away many people's jobs, and people think that it is safe to move out of IT industry and do something that can be better than working in IT.
