Self-worth is something most of us don’t know about but they think they do, also there are people who believe that there are some situations in which they are not worthy, it can be occasions, classy or expensive places and believing makes it obvious that they don’t value themselves and they don’t have self-worth. There are different ways in which self-worth comes in and they are different ways in which we feel about ourselves.
Self-worth is something we build not something we automatically have and to have it we must first understand ourselves, and our values. I have seen so many cases where people use other people to compare their selves to others using them as a point to measure their own self-worth but that’s totally wrong. The best way in which you can know your self-worth and for others to know your value is how you treat others, how you treat yourself and how you handle situations.
Setting Standards: This is the first thing or first step you take in building your self-worth and it involves you setting a path in which you have chosen to follow and wish others to follow towards you and these standards control what you do and like and what you won’t do and dislike.
When you have set your standards that’s the way people will see you and they will know your worth. When you let people continuously decide for you on how you should handle basic things or your decision in life then you begin to lose your value or self-worth.
Be around positive and intelligent people: Most times people want to be among people to who they can feel superior, people who they can control and not tell how it is the way it is and when they remain in that circle they won’t grow and know their value. So the best thing to do if you want to build your self-worth and know your value is by being around positive and intelligent people who you can learn from and people who can tell you the truth if you are doing the wrong thing not people who fear you to correct you.
Believe in your ability: Believing in yourself or your ability sounds easy but difficult because of one thing nervousness. There are some situations you find yourself in that you think you can scale through because of the countless practice you’ve made but when you look at the odds or people around you, you begin to doubt yourself and lose your confidence and value.

Self-worth and self-esteem are two words that we are all acquainted with and we also know how valuable they are to our lives. However, these qualities are quite hard to find in people these days due to the inability to effectively handle the numerous challenges they face. When we are faced with life challenges and they have not handled the best way possible, it would affect one's self-worth and self-esteem in a negative way.
So believing in yourself and your ability is the responsibility you must have to yourself to know your value and self-worth because everyone has the power to change their life to another phase if they believe in their self and believe that they are worthy of it.
