Greetings!
The love of a mother to her children can never be overemphasized. No wonder someone once said, in this life, it's only one person that will want her children to be more than her and that only person as said by the person is the mother. Mother is a critical part of a person in life. Even, the importance of a mother starts right from conception till when the mother dies. This means, a child is never old in his or her mum's eyes or mind. The love of a mother.
When talking about the love of mother, I am a beneficiary. I really enjoyed the love of my mum when I was small, but the one I'm enjoying now is even more than that of when I was small. I love my mum for so many reason, her care and attention is second to none. She's a woman who cares alot about people, most especially her children and her husband. She's indeed a virtuous woman as stated by the book of proverbs in the chapter 31. My mum is indeed more than a ruby.
One thing I will forever appreciate my mum for is her disciplined life. My mum is a disciplined woman who will not act like other women who has spoiled their lives in the society just for ephemeral things. Even, when my dad was not that buoyant and she was the one taking care of the responsibility, she would never used that to react at home. Apart from this, she did not lose her dignity sleeping around with men. No she used to stood her ground back then even up till today. Like I know what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that in her place of work at one of the government ministries, she could have been easily enticed because this is the norm in most of the ministries, but she would not do that, rather she would come home empty handed instead of losing herself and falling into traps.
What I have just discussed in the above paragraph is self discipline, but talking about general discipline or children discipline, to be candid with you, my mum is a great disciplinarian, she will never tolerate any rubbish from you and that has really shaped our lives, most especially my life even to adulthood. She's a no nonsense woman and I love her for that. If you misbehave or even disrespect someone older than you, just know you are in trouble already. What a woman.
I could remember one of my encounter with her, in those days when I was in primary five, I was given a mathematics assignment from school and when I got home, my mum asked me to bring out my assignment which I did, so, in the course of her trying to helped me with the assignment, I told her that the topic was too hard for me to comprehend, I told her that I can't know mathematics as everything is all about calculation, that word "I CAN'T " that I said landed me a dirty slap. Immediately I received the slap, my brain went to factory reset and I began to understgood what she had been teaching me and that was how I fell in love to doing mathematics till today. Not only that, the word " I CAN'T " was quickly erased from my brain with the dirty slap.
Now, at adulthood, I now believe everything is possible, there's no impossibility in my dictionary since when she'd used the dirty slap to correct my negative belief. Which has been instrumental to where I'm till today.
So, growing up, she really took care of me and my younger brother by trying to assist our dad in paying our school fee, atimes, she would borrow money to buy foodstuffs and send the same to our various school. Her correction back then, made me studied civil engineering at the university and I graduated from the department as one of the best students in the department not quite long. Now, I'm a registered engineer and I now handled series of construction work. Look at the power of a virtuous and disciplined woman. I love my mum so much, God bless her for me.
