_CHILDREN'S DAY_

Children are one of the most precious gifts from God. They make our lives worth living. They bring joy and happiness. Children are an extension of ourselves; they give us the reason to keep grinding and bring unfathomable peace and joy to our lives.

What a special day to celebrate children all over the world! Children spread joy and happiness in every season; they are the most beautiful creatures of our creator. Having my kids around me gives me nothing but joy, especially watching them exhibit some creative ideas, think smartly on different occasions, and express their love for me verbally. This most often relieves me of any existing worries and replaces them with unimaginable happiness.

When I was a child, my dad always made Children's Day remarkable for my siblings and me. He doesn't usually do big things as such, but with the little he has, he will make sure to put smiles on our faces through it and remind us to be good children wherever we go. This meant a lot to me and created good memories, which I am extending to my kids now that I am a parent.

This morning, I was thinking of a special way to celebrate my kids, and I remembered that they have been craving our native meal for some time now. I usually prepare our native meal for them here in the city where we reside, but I don't always do that because getting the ingredients here is very difficult. So I called my mom in the village, and she helped to waybill the local delicacies here in the city in their raw state. I woke up as early as 5:30 a.m. to begin the meal preparation. It usually takes a lot of time and is stressful to prepare, but I do not have to complain since eating the meal will make them happy 😊 I finished making the meal around 8:30 a.m., and by 9 a.m., they were done eating.

It might not look pleasant in the eyes, but trust me, it's such a delicious meal made with complete ingredients that make up a balanced diet. The kids couldn't stop thanking Mummy for making it possible for them to enjoy the meal again after a long time.

My second son, after eating, quickly reminded me that his teacher said I should take him out today for ice cream 🍨🍦 and other fun activities . Of course it's a must, and we are getting ready for that in an hour. All thanks to @ginika , my amazing sister-in-law, who already sponsored today's outing. Hopefully, I should return back here for feedback, but for now, it's already going well with me and the kids at home,and as a parent, just like my daddy always reminded my siblings and me to be good children wherever we go, I have taken my time to give my kids some moral talks today, reminding them to represent our small family well wherever they find themselves through their good behaviour.

It's my desire to raise responsible children in our world today. To every expectant mom, I pray that God will bless your womb so that you can carry your bundles of joy in no time. Amen.
