Fridate Ice Cream Day with My Daughter Aya: Our Scoops Of Joy.

Hello Mommies! This is my first time to post in this community. I would like to share our Friday bonding moment with my daugter.

Friday is one of my favorite days of the week. Aside from the fact that the next day is the weekend, our family spend time together after school and workdays. It is a day that I look forward to. It is now a simple bonding with my Aya, our Fridate Ice Cream Day.

It was sunny and we feel the heat is on, it's definitely summer here. We want ice cream to ease the day. The sun was so hot and lots of people on the street. Enjoying the weather with refreshing cold drinks and ice cream and wearing their summer clothes.

Aya has her piano lesson every Friday. After I dropped my daughter off for her class, I felt the heat climbing. It's 32 degrees Celsius and I know it's more than the heat in the Philippines, my hometown. Aya is just a beginner and still learning the basics of music. She needs to learn more to become good. And the saying goes practice makes perfect. It's my joy and pride to see her that she really wants to develop her new talent by playing piano.

While waiting for her in school, I'm scrolling around the lobby and searching for my eldest photo. Zoe took piano lessons when she was in elementary school. Nostalgia, how time flies so fast. She's in 2nd year of high school. Those precious moments she's performing on stage for her recital.

As soon as I heard Aya's voice, I immediately approached her and showed her the lesson. And she says she needs to learn more. It's ok just take your time, I replied to her. Then I asked her, You want some ice cream?? Her eyes lit up and said to me Yes mama and I want two scoops please. One chocolate and one kinder joy flavors.

Were walking together going to the ice cream shop. There are few ice cream shops around here. And we went to our favorite place for ice cream. There are tables and chairs outside the shop and we can see the people walking around. We walked hand in hand and the sun was shining. And we saw kids fall in line and go somewhere.

We arrived in the ice cream shop, we fell in line and told the lady what we wanted. Then there's an empty chair and we took the place. Lots of flavors of ice cream to choose from. But I ordered the same. My all time favorite chocolate ice cream. And Aya I mentioned earlier, she chose 2 scoops of ice cream. One for chocolate and one kinder joy.

We enjoyed both our ice cream bonding. We didn’t talk that much while eating, for sure melted ice cream all over our hands. The silence when Aya was eating her ice cream was just as comforting as words. I just watched her licking the side of her cone and I took snapshots of her. Our ordinary day was made extraordinary by a simple scoop of ice cream and with love. These are the moments I treasure forever. Simple and we were both happy.

As we walked to the bus station. I felt grateful and content. Grateful because of our Fridate Ice Cream and her piano lessons that bring joy for me. Time flies so fast, watching her grow and making memories with her.

Simple moments that create a big impact in her life. That making time for her is really important in her life. Even moms have big responsibilities but my opportunity to bond with you Im heart is full. Fridate Ice Cream Day is simple. I hope and promise you Aya I will give time with you no matter what.

It reminds me that every kid has their own unique journey in life. By learning piano, guitar and anything they like. But the full support, encouragement, and joy I give as a mother remain constant.

It's our sun soaked sweet moments together. And it's another plus just the two of us.
