Trip to M/S Noah: A Land-based Ship Attraction in Tanza, Navotas, Philippines

Hello again, @worldmappin fam! 😊 Welcome aboard! ✨ It’s me again, @wanderelle, sharing with you another hidden gem inside the bustling city of Metro Manila.

My cousin went back from Canada to spend a few weeks in the Philippines. Every moment counts, so after years of working hard abroad, she deserved a relaxing break. That’s exactly what I had in mind when I decided to bring her to M/S Noah. Also, this place is a famous talk in town and I really wanted to visit here even before, but due to busy schedule, I wasn’t able to. Given this situation, this place the nearest accessible attraction that I know since it is within our city. It is located at Tanza, Navotas, Philippines, which is 24 minutes away from our home.

It’s already 9 in the evening when we arrived. Most of the place had already quieted down, but M/S Noah was beautifully lit. This massive ship structure is built on land, and even though it doesn’t sail, it certainly captures attention like a real cruise liner docked by the roadside. It’s been turned into a lifestyle hub, and I recommend visiting it at night to maximize its wonderful view. We went there on a weekday, which is probably not the usual day and time people go sightseeing. Since there weren’t many people around, this made it feel like we had the place to ourselves.

Our first destination onboard was Noah’s Art Nail and Spa, located at the Ground Deck. The staffs were friendly and very accommodating despite the late hour. The place has an aesthetic vibe. Stepping inside and smelling the fresh, clean scent of the place made us feel relaxed already. My cousin even joked about needing a full body massage after all those years of nonstop work in Canada. So, we suddenly booked a full body massage. While waiting for our turn, we decided to go upstairs to visit other establishments onboard.

On the upper deck, there were two establishments: a restaurant named Samgyup sa Noah and a coffee shop named Café Nenita. Sadly, the restaurant was already closed for the day when we arrived. We were kind of hoping to try something from their menu that day. Well, we weren’t very much hungry, we're just craving for something like comforting. Thankfully, the coffee shop was still serving. So, we each got a Frappuccino, stayed there while waiting for our turn on the massage service we booked, then took a few selfies. We also talked about her life in Canada, the changes back home, and the little things we missed when we’re too busy. Sitting there while chatting, sipping our Frappuccino with soft music in the background, felt cozy. The upper deck experience made the night feel even more special.

We went back to the spa downstairs, since the staff texted us that it’s already our turn. Before going to the massage room, they gave us a foot spa. They soaked our feet into a lukewarm water with fragrant scent. They also have lockers inside to secure your valuable items. The full body massage was gentle and relaxing, and you could really tell that they put care into making their guests feel pampered.

After our massage, we also decided to get our nails done, and they still gladly accommodated us. It was a sudden decision. Luckily, we were their last customers left that time before they close.

The wonderful experience left us really satisfied. My cousin said we’ll return here to get a massage again and try other services. Also next time, we’ll definitely arrive earlier to dine in the restaurant while it’s open.

This trip to M/S Noah wasn’t something we planned weeks ahead. It was more like, “Let’s go somewhere nice tonight,” and somehow this place ended up being the perfect choice. Sometimes, the best bonding moments don’t need a far place to travel. Just being in a nice place nearby with someone who matters, catching up over a cup of coffee, is already a memory to keep.
