Paris between trains, rain, and unforgettable views 🇫🇷🚆

One of the things I enjoyed the most in Paris was simply observing everyday life. Even a train station can feel elegant and full of history here. Gare de Lyon was huge, busy, and beautiful at the same time. Watching the trains come and go while hearing different languages around me made the city feel incredibly alive.

Una de las cosas que más disfruté en París fue simplemente observar la vida cotidiana. Incluso una estación de tren puede sentirse elegante y llena de historia aquí. Gare de Lyon era enorme, concurrida y hermosa al mismo tiempo. Ver los trenes ir y venir mientras escuchaba diferentes idiomas a mi alrededor hizo que la ciudad se sintiera increíblemente viva.

I really liked the architecture inside the station. The giant clock, the metallic structure, and the movement of travelers everywhere gave the place a cinematic atmosphere. It reminded me that in Europe, train stations are part of the experience, not just a way to move around.

Me gustó mucho la arquitectura dentro de la estación. El enorme reloj, la estructura metálica y el movimiento de viajeros por todas partes le daban al lugar una atmósfera cinematográfica. Me recordó que en Europa las estaciones de tren son parte de la experiencia y no solo un medio para trasladarse.

Another day, another station, another completely different atmosphere. This time at Rueil-Malmaison, the weather was colder and the sky looked dramatic. Honestly, I liked that vibe because it made the city feel calm and reflective.

Otro día, otra estación y una atmósfera completamente diferente. Esta vez en Rueil-Malmaison, el clima estaba más frío y el cielo se veía dramático. Honestamente me gustó ese ambiente porque hacía que la ciudad se sintiera tranquila y reflexiva.

I think traveling also changes the way we see ordinary moments. Waiting for a train in France somehow felt different from my daily routine back home. Even simple places become memories when you are far away discovering new cities.

Creo que viajar también cambia la forma en que vemos los momentos ordinarios. Esperar un tren en Francia de alguna manera se sintió diferente a mi rutina diaria en casa. Incluso los lugares simples se convierten en recuerdos cuando estás lejos descubriendo nuevas ciudades.

Then came Montmartre and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Walking through those streets felt like entering a movie scene. Small restaurants, souvenir shops, tourists everywhere, and at the top, the massive Sacré-Cœur watching over the city.

Después llegó Montmartre y la Basílica del Sagrado Corazón. Caminar por esas calles se sintió como entrar en una escena de película. Restaurantes pequeños, tiendas de recuerdos, turistas por todas partes y arriba de todo, el enorme Sacré-Cœur observando la ciudad.

This was one of my favorite photos from the trip. The basilica in the background looked incredible under the gray sky. Paris has this strange ability to feel romantic, historic, and nostalgic all at once.

Esta fue una de mis fotos favoritas del viaje. La basílica al fondo se veía increíble bajo el cielo gris. París tiene esa extraña capacidad de sentirse romántica, histórica y nostálgica al mismo tiempo.

Seeing Sacré-Cœur from close up was impressive. The white stone, the domes, and the details of the building stand out even more in person. Despite the crowds, there was still a peaceful feeling around the basilica.

Ver el Sacré-Cœur de cerca fue impresionante. La piedra blanca, las cúpulas y los detalles del edificio destacan aún más en persona. A pesar de la multitud, todavía se sentía un ambiente tranquilo alrededor de la basílica.

The view from Montmartre was unforgettable. You can see almost all of Paris from there, stretching endlessly beneath the cloudy sky. It is one of those moments where you stop for a second and simply appreciate where you are.

La vista desde Montmartre fue inolvidable. Puedes ver casi todo París desde ahí, extendiéndose sin fin bajo el cielo nublado. Es uno de esos momentos donde te detienes un segundo y simplemente aprecias dónde estás.

I ended the visit just enjoying the atmosphere and taking in the scenery. Paris can be noisy, crowded, and chaotic sometimes, but places like Montmartre remind you why so many people fall in love with this city.

Terminé la visita simplemente disfrutando el ambiente y admirando el paisaje. París puede ser ruidoso, lleno de gente y caótico a veces, pero lugares como Montmartre te recuerdan por qué tanta gente se enamora de esta ciudad.
