There are places in Paris where you can simply walk for hours and still keep finding something that makes you stop and look around.

This time I spent part of the day walking through the Tuileries Garden and around the Louvre, enjoying a completely different side of the city. The weather was cloudy, but I actually liked it that way. It made the gardens feel calm and gave the old buildings that classic Paris atmosphere I had imagined before coming here.
One of the places that caught my attention was the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. From far away it already looks impressive, but when you get closer you start noticing all the sculptures, columns and small details carved into it. I had to walk underneath it and look up for a while because there is so much to see.
And then, through the arches, you can catch glimpses of the Louvre. That was probably one of my favorite things about this walk: everywhere you turn, another piece of history appears in front of you.

I also really enjoyed the long tree-lined paths of the Tuileries. After spending time around some of the busiest places in Paris, walking through all that green space felt surprisingly peaceful. π³

No rush, no complicated plan for a few hours. Just walking, taking photos, looking at the architecture and enjoying the fact that I was actually there.
Paris definitely makes even a simple walk feel special. πΈπ«π·
