Winter Lakes In The Nanhaizi Park

There are many beautiful lakes all around the Beijing municipality, and most of them are located in natural parks. Even the summer palace and some imperial gardens, such as the Beihai park, have a large lake area that enhances the beauty of that scenic area. And these areas are so popular among tourists zones in the Beijing municipality. I have visited so many scenic parks with lakes in my living place, Huairou and Miyun city, which are so amazing with the mountain view in the background, which is really so eye-catching. There are a few lakes in the southern region, and the Nanhaizi Park is the largest park in the area, and it has so many lakes which are also connected to other lakes with many water channels.

Nanhaizi Park is quite far from my home district, Huairou, which is in the northern district, but Nanhaizi Park is in the Daxing district, which is located in the southern region of the Beijing municipality. It is easily understood that the southern part of the city is not as popular as the northern region, and so the most important imperial parks and gardens are located in central Beijing or on the northern side of the city. The southern part of the city is more spacious and empty, as few people live in this area, and so fewer scenic spots are located in this region.

The park has so many lakes, and these are so large. But due to the wintertime, the water level is severely lower, so that half of the space is dried, and the lake bed is visible, covered with grass, which is brown in color. The first thing I noticed is that there are no mountain views in this vast plain area of the city as the southern region has no mountains comparing the northern section of the Beijing municipality.

But with the decoration of the overall park with beautiful roads, a row of trees is attractive. The natural surroundings is also very clean with very good weather and extremely clean air quality, making the park a great one. Also, the bright sun and deep blue sky of the day without clouds make the park views eye-catching. I have enjoyed walking by the lakeside roads there, and I have enjoyed the fantastic views of the surrounding natural scenes there.

I have also noticed that the water of the lakes is frozen in the area where the water flow is stuck due to a lower water level and some bridge areas, but there is some unfrozen part in some portions where water flow is visible. I saw some beautiful bridges which are so beautiful and such kinds of bridges are one of the iconic structural marvels in the Chinese civilization.

The views are not with vibrant colors like green, but with the faded color of dried grasses, naked branches, and empty trees, which are creating amazing scenic views with the deep blue sky views, making them truly breathtaking.
