Qihe Riverside Residencial Area

Winter is going to end very soon as the temperature in Beijing has risen to 15 degrees centigrade levels, and as it is already mid-March, the coldest month in the northern hemisphere is now gone. Nowadays, I can enjoy some winter activities that are around my living area. There are several rivers around my area in the Huairou district, and the Qihe River is one of them, about 2 kilometers from my dorm. I had a great walking season on the riverside area where a new residential sector has recently been built. I am on the opposite side of the residential area in that location.

The river is not very far, so I visited the area on my bike and enjoyed a walk in that large area of the riverbank, and walked down to the riverbed up to the water level area. Currently the water level is very low so you can get down to the far area in the riverbed area of the river. There were not many residential areas here when I first came, but I saw so many new buildings on the opposite side of the river, which is a completely new housing area.

The riverside area is very quiet, and traffic on the riverside road is almost nonexistent, as I have not seen any cars or other vehicles while walking there for a while. At the moment, the river has not had much water, as this winter has been very dry, with little snowfall or rain. I found no people roaming there when I was walking along the water's edge. The weather was excellent, making the natural views even brighter and more eye-catching.

I can always find some beautiful spaces almost everywhere surrounding my living area that make me happy and satisfied to live here. And so I always enjoy my afternoon walk around my institute, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.

I hope you enjoy my photos of the beautiful riverside town and its natural surroundings in the Huairou district, which is a close place to my home, with natural scenes and bright, sunny surroundings in the wintertime. The view is marvellous from every angle, with a clean sky and white clouds, and the faded colours of the trees, grasses, and plants in the riverbed area. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.

Wishing you a good day!

I took all the photos, and these are my own property.

It sounds like a nice way to enjoy the end of winter. Riding your bike to the Qihe River and walking along the riverbank in Huairou District must feel very relaxing. It is also interesting to see many new buildings growing in Beijing.
