When it comes to travel a tourist spot, the first thing that come to your mind is to do something new. Recently, I had a great day with my friend in Beijing, and we had a great time exploring the city and many travel destinations here. As we had a full day, we started planning which place to go to. The good thing is that he has also completed his master's degree from Beijing city and has much more knowledge about the city than I do. And both of us have completed a lot of tours to most of the popular tourist destinations in Beijing.
Then we wanted to visit the Forbidden Kingdom, but unfortunately there were no available tickets and the crowds were so insane surrounding this destination. Then my friend proposed the Temple of Heaven, which is a little bit far from the center of Beijing City, and he has not been there, according to his knowledge. Also, I love travelling such a great place and we set for the destination. Temple of Heaven is one of the most visited places for both Chinese and Foreigners, making it among the top 10 tourist attractions in Beijing.
The location of the Temple of Heaven is quite on the southern side of the city center, and so this area is relatively less busy and crowded than the central area. The southern side of Beijing is relatively old compared to the northern side of Beijing Municipal. In this area, there are fewer sky-touching towers or buildings, and most of the important institutions are also located relatively in the northern section of the city. It appears that the city growth is much faster in the northern section than the southern section of the city.
We found very less people in the ticket counter also, it was the northern gate and the Temple of Heaven has it's gate al; most every side of the while area. The cost of the tickets were not so expensive as it was only 15 RMB per person. There is no extra fees for foreigners but you have to show your passport if you doesn't;t have the Permanet Residency card being a non-Chinese citizen of the country.
With the entry, I got the spectacular view of the beautiful dome of the main temple which is the iconic view in the temple of heaven. It was raising very high in this area where you can not find the modern Beijing touch with tall buildings in the surrounding area. The green trees on the both side of the entry road and the tower in the middle made a scenic view that made my day for visiting the Temple of Heaven.
A lot people were walking through this iconic road, and all of them are thrilled with such fantastic view of the large dome that so colorful and attractive. The clear weather with relatively brighter sun made the view a truly breathtaking from this beautiful road.
After walking for a while, I came to the best-looking spot of the large tower with a closer look, and I took several shots of the view, which is truly eye-catching. There was a big crowd of people exploring the insane beauty of the place. My friend and I get some help from visitors to have some couple images at this spot. And we found the Chinese people very helpful for taking photo for us.
Then we have also come to the large temple inside the area that needs another ticket of 10 RMB it was just to visit the inside temple not entering into the inside of it. So, we didn't enter and we didn't have enough time to cover all the are/ So we passed the are abut taken some amazing shot from the front area also.
Besides the architectural beauty of the place it has great history from the very early Chinese civilization. And so this place has been treated as an important place for the nation and so the place is taken care of very carefully and there are many gardens inside the whole ground. The natural scenioc of these area is also superb for spending a precious time to enjoy.
There are a lot of old trees that are witnesses to history for centuries after centuries. I find some trees are ages around 700 years. SO, you can imagine how old these trees are. Also the flowering areas are made beautifully arranged in the whole area. Everything perfectly managed to make this place a place of beauty.
I hope you like my visit to the Temple of Heaven in Beijing with my friend recently. The spectacular tower views and the surrounding area are full of life here, bearing the old history and Chinese culture to love and protect their old history. It was great memory for me to part of the witness of this living history and it made my day a great one. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them as much as I can afford.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wishing you a good day!
I took all the photos, and these are my own property.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
I can tell from your outfit that it's a hot summer day in Beijing these days!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Heaven
The Temple of Heaven was built 600 years ago.
The emperors of China would offer sacrifices to heaven at the Temple of Heaven,
and gain recognition of their authority from the people.
The Chinese emperors believed that if crops failed due to drought because of lack of rain, they could offer sacrifices to the sky at the Temple of Heaven and it would rain!
The greatest duty of the Chinese emperors was to offer sacrifices to heaven to bring good weather and rain so that agriculture could prosper.
Chinese emperors could lose their throne if a famine occurred and starved the people, as the people would begin to doubt their eligibility as emperors.
I wonder if Bangladeshis perform rituals to heaven to pray for a good harvest!๐
Wow! It was an important place for the emperors for their regime to be sustained. Thanks for your informative comments.
In Bangladesh we donโt have such rituals, but Hindu people has a tradition of sacrifice fo their god. But we the Muslim do Qurbani animals in the name of Allah, show our gratitude to Allah. Intresting we divide meat from those animals into three parts forbthe poor, relatives, and own family.
