A paradise called Arraial do Cabo - Rio de Janeiro! [EN/PT]

Welcome to Arraial do Cabo - a breathtaking paradise located along the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This was definitely one of the trips I loved the most. Arraial do Cabo is a small city with several beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, super white sand, and breathtaking landscapes.

I honestly don't remember visiting a beach with such crystal-clear waters; you could say it's the Brazilian Caribbean. While I made this trip, it's the end of winter here in Brazil, not the most suitable weather for going to the beach, but I chose this period for a reason; it's the time when many marine animals visit this place. One of my dreams was to see a whale in its natural habitat, and I made it! I was so ecstatic that I didn't even think of taking a photo of that moment, but it's etched in my memory forever!

Bem-vindos a Arraial do Cabo - um paraíso de tirar o fôlego localizado ao longo da costa do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Essa com certeza foi uma das viagens que eu mais amei em fazer. Arraial do Cabo é um cidade pequena mas com várias praias lindas, água cristalina, areia super branca e paisagens de tirar o folego.

Eu sinceramente não me lembro de ter visitado uma praia com uma águas tão cristalina, pode se dizer que é o Caribe brasileiro. Enquanto fiz essa viagem, aqui no Brasil é final de inverno, não é um clima tão propício pra ir a praia mas eu escolhi esse período por um motivo; é época de muitos animais marinho visitarem esse lugar. Um dos meus sonhos é ver uma baleia em seu habitat natural e eu consegui! Fiquei tão eufórico que não lembrei de tirar uma foto se quer desse momento, mas esta guardado aqui na minha memória para sempre!

Well, since my initial intention was to try to see a whale, I decided to take a boat tour. After all, it would be easier for that to happen out at sea. The boat tour was fantastic, and I could get a closer look at some landscapes and visit places and beaches that are less accessible.

Taking a boat tour was also one of my desires for this trip, and it was the first time I had such an experience. It was really enjoyable, a wonderful feeling, and on top of that, it was incredible to have a different perspective, observing the beach from the sea.

Bem, como minha intenção inicial foi tentar ver uma baleia, eu decidi fazer um passeio de barco, afinal, em alto mar seria mais fácil disso acontecer. O passeio de barco foi muito legal e pude ver de mais perto algumas paisagens e visitar lugares e praias menos acessíveis.

Fazer um passeio de barco também estava entre meus desejos para essa viajem, foi a primeira vez que tive essa experiência. Foi bem legal, uma sensação muito boa e além de tudo foi incrível ter uma perspectiva diferente, observar do mar para a praia.

During the tour, we can be amazed by nature, and one thing that I found quite enjoyable was the interaction of seagulls with the crew. There wasn't a single tourist who wasn't fascinated by their presence during the navigation and their low flights near the boat!

Durante o passeio podemos ficar deslumbrados com a natureza e uma coisa que achei bem divertido foi a interação das gaivotas com os tripulantes. Não teve um turista que não tenha ficado fascinado com a presença delas durante a navegação e com seus voos rasantes perto do barco!

The first stop was the Ilha do Farol, which is a Navy extractive reserve. To access this beach, it's only possible by boat tour, and there are many rules to enter it. Only a few things are allowed with you when visiting, like a cell phone and snorkeling equipment. You can't even wear flip-flops to the beach, and there are marked areas on the island limiting the tourist visit. But honestly? It's an understandable limitation because the beach is very clean, and you get to enjoy something extraordinary - a real breath of nature for our souls.

A primeira parada Foi a Ilha do Farol, que é uma reserva extrativista da Marinha. Para acessar essa Praia é somente por passeio de barco e tem muitas regras para ingressa-la, apenas algumas coisas podem ir com você ao visita-la, como celular e equipamento de Snorkel. Nem mesmo de chinelo pode ir até a praia e tem demarcações pela ilha limitando o passeio turístico. Mas sinceramente? É uma limitação compreensível, pois a praia é muito limpa e você desfruta de algo incomum, é um sopro real da natureza em nossa alma.

The Ilha do Farol had a great first impact on this tour, a very strong impression of the power of nature. My son, along with my girlfriend and me, loved everything about it. But it was time to continue the boat tour; after all, there were still other places to be admired!

During the journey, we could see many other landscapes, each more beautiful than the other. We came across a crevice with its legend behind it. I don't remember very well the story the boat captain was telling, but it was something a bit scary, haha!

A Ilha do Farol teve um grande primeiro impacto nesse passeio, um impacto muito forte do poder da natureza. Meu filho, assim como eu e minha namorada, amamos tudo aquilo. Mas era hora de continuar o passeio de barco, afinal, ainda tinha outros lugares para serem comtemplados!

Durante o trajeto do percurso podemos ver outras muitas paisagens, cada uma mais linda do que a outra. No deparamos com uma fenda e sua lenda por trás, não me lembro muito bem qual foi a história que o capitão do barco estava contando, mas era algo um pouco assustador haha!

After passing through the crevice and its legend, we continued towards the open sea. You can clearly see from the photo above the direction we followed.

Now, we are passing by some rocks and their beautiful natural formations.

Depois de passar pela fenda e sua lenda, seguimos em direção ao acesso ao mar aberto. Você consegue observar bem pela foto acima qual foi a direção que seguimos.

Agora passamos por algumas rochas e suas formações naturais muito bonitas.

Notice in the following photos that there is a huge hole in the rock. Well, according to the boat captain, this hole was made by a meteor.

Repare nas fotos a seguir que existe um enorme buraco na pedra. Pois bem, esse buraco foi feito por um metóro, segundo o capitão do barco.

Remember when I mentioned at the beginning of this post that I saw a whale? Well, it was around this part of the journey that it happened. The whale wasn't very close to the boat, but we managed to see some of its jumps and its tail splashing in the water. We asked the boat captain to go back to get closer to the whale, but it didn't stay there for long.

Lembra que mencionei no começo desse post que eu vi uma baleia? Então, foi mais ou menos nessa parte do trajeto que isso aconteceu. Ela não estava tão perto do barco mas conseguimos ver alguns de seus pulos e sua calda batendo forte na água. Pedimos o capitão do barco para voltar para chegar mais perto da baleia, mas ela não ficou la por muito tempo.

We continued the tour, and we are about to reach my favorite part. But before we get there, I took a few more photos along the way.

seguimos o passeio e estamos prestes a chegar na minha parte favorita. Mas até chegarmos lá, tirei mais algumas fotos pelo caminho.

Finally, we arrived at a place I was eager to visit, the Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia. It's another beach with incredibly crystal-clear water and very fine white sand, a pleasure for the feet. But what I really wanted to do was climb its staircase and see the whole marvelous view from up there.

Finalmente chegamos em um lugar que eu estava louco para conhecer, a Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia. É mais uma praia que a água é muito cristalina e areia branca bem fina, um conforto para os pés. Mas o que eu queria esmo fazer era subir sua escadaria e ver toda essa vista maravilhosa lá de cima.

There are over 200 steps (if my memory doesn't fail me), and it's a somewhat tiring climb, but it's worth every effort. If you haven't lost your breath from the climb, you'll lose it when you look at all this splendid nature.

São mais de 200 degraus ( se não me falha a memória), é uma subida um pouco cansativa, mas vale a pena cada esforço. Se você ainda não perdeu o folego com a subida, vai perder quando olhar toda essa natureza esplendida.

It was a four-hour tour, very well-planned and lively. Tourists can have a lot of fun with various cool spots to take photos. Arraial do Cabo is a beautiful place, full of nature and well-preserved.

I loved every second of this adventure, and it was an incredible experience. All of this will be cherished in my memory as an unforgettable day!

Foi um passeio que durou quatro horas, muito bem planejado e movimentado, os turistas conseguem fazer um passeio muito divertido, com vários lugares legais para tirar fotos. Arraial do cabo é um lugar lindo, cheio de natureza e muito bem preservado.

Eu amei cada segundo dessa aventura e foi uma experiência muito legal. Tudo isso vai ficar guardado na minha memória como um dia inesquecível!
