Skiing at Krahule-Juh: Snowy Adventures Slovakia’s Charming Ski Spots.

Last 17th of January, my family had the chance to experience a beautiful winter day at Krahule–Juh. It's my husband's plan that Aya needs to learn and love skiing. Especially soon Aya and her classmates will go skiing. It will be good If she knows it and enjoys skiing with her friends and classmates at school.

Krahule is a small ski area in Slovakia. Our simple trip turned into a special memory for all of us.

The sky was clear, bright and the morning was cold. As we drove two hours toward the mountain, we could see the trees covered in snow. My husband's face showed how excited he was. He loves the adrenaline rush, and it keeps his mind fresh and fully alive. It's like all his stress from work disappears.

When we arrived at Krahule–Juh, the place felt cozy and welcoming. The ski resort is not as big as last year. But it's nice for families.

People are starting to ski, falling in line for their turn on the ski lift that carries them to the top and children leaning on the gentle slop. It was a simple day where people were enjoying the winter atmosphere.

In the parking lot, my family prepared their ski gear and Táto help them to properly fix the ski shoes. And it was so refreshing that the cold air touched our faces.

Everything was ready and we slowly walked and helped them carry Aya's ski. Aya was complaining that her ski boots were too tight. But it should be like that and Táto explained to her which helps keep the feet secure while moving then she was calmed.

Zoe was on a different way, she went to the ski lift alone. While Táto was teaching Aya.

Watching my kids on the slope made me smile. Especially Zoe that she's on top and enjoying skiing.

Táto started to teach Aya to catch her balance. Watching them together, Aya was brave and determined to ski.

After an hour of practice and built Aya's confidence, they finally headed for the summit. While waiting for the chairlift, I stayed on the side watching and cheering Aya with excitement.

After a fun time skiing and we went for lunch. There was a cozy restaurant in the ski area and a perfect for a warm lunch break.

The cozy restaurant inside felt welcoming. With the wooden tables and chairs, especially the good smell of freshly cooked food.

The kids and I ordered a roasted chicken served with light sauce and rice. And my husband ordered guláš.

It was a simple and budget-friendly meal yet it was perfectly cooked and incredibly comforting. We ended our lunch with a delightful plate of crepes.

An ideal sweet ending having crepes topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate.

After lunch, they headed back out to the slopes. While I relaxed in the restaurant with a cup of coffee.

As the afternoon slowly came to an end, it was time for us to head home. The ski resort in Krahule was closing at 4 pm and it was time for us to pack our things.

Before we were heading home, my husband told us we would visit a church nearby.

That short visit would soon become another meaningful part of our trip and I will share it in my next blog. ✨

Our trip to Krahule–Juh was a simple adventure full of warmth, experience, laughter, and family time. Those moments made the trip even more special.
