Visiting the Ave Maria Shrine On top of the Holy Mountain

Hello everyone have a nice day to you all where ever part of the world you are.. it's been a long time since I posted and share in this community.. today I will share to you one of the places where devoted Christians go to renew their faith every Holy week.. this church is located on the top of a mountain.. before you get here you have to go through a steep road before you can reach the top.. so this is the place where many people crime here every year to pray..

The ave Maria shrine chapel is located Guimaras Island.. this shrine was built for a vow of gratitude for safety during work war II.. this is popular destination during holy week.. this is also the place of one of the famous religious event called ang pag taltal sa balaan bukid..or the reinactment of Jesus' Crucifixion..

Every year thousands of people from around the country and some foreign people hike up the mountain to visit the church and pray.. this year was different from the past few years because their is only one way to go up hill.. in the past few years it has two ways to reach the shrine.. the first is through the sea travel.. you need to ride on the pump boat and then it will land at the bottom of the mountain.. where people pass through to the top.. this is the fastest way to up to the shrine but steeper than the other one.. the way is if you are from the city you need to ride a pump boat and you will pass through the war, then you need to ride in a tricycle to go to the foot of the mountain, where you will start walking uphill to go to the shrine..

On the side of the shrine you can see the grotto of virgin and saint Vincent Ferrer..

This is the view you will see from the top behind the shrine.. you can see the whole city..
