As a very adventurous person, I never say no when it comes to traveling to new places or trying out new things. Just the thought of it makes me so excited. I’ve been to a lot of places but the one place that has all of my heart is Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel. It is located in Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana. We just call it “Atlantic”.
I had already heard about Atlantic hotel for a long time but never really got time to visit. I remember one particular Friday, a colleague of mine informed me about a get-together at Atlantic. I was so excited and I even said yes before he could finish his statement.
The first thing I said after arriving was “wow”. The building itself was so cool. As if that was not enough, the first sight after entering was just mind blowing. The sight of the pool kind of blends with ocean which is far behind. They also made sure to blend modernization and digitalization with vintage and nature.
The major thing that makes Atlantic hotel the favorite place I’ve visited so far is its prime location.
It’s about 5 minutes walk to the last hour beach, one of my favourite places as well. The hotel itself is far from town and for that reason, they’ve made it a point to provide every service one may need whiles being there. Yes, is it banking service? Clothes shopping? Anything you can think of.
The way Atlantic was built always blows my mind and anytime I visit, I just give the architects their accolades. There are a lot of sitting spots in Atlantic and each have different themes. From ice cream sitting spots, to clubbing sitting spots, to normal hangout sitting spot to restaurant sitting spots and others which I think is a really brilliant idea. My favorite is the ship themed sitting spot which makes me keep on going there aside the pool view.
I can’t talk about Atlantic without talking about the food. My mom always says if someone wants to kidnap me, the person should just bring a van with the inscription “Free French Fries”. I love fries a lot and anytime I go to a new place, fries is a must. The fries at Atlantic is so good! Okay no, it’s not just the fries, the other foods are also amazing. I haven’t experienced anything bad about Atlantic hotel and I hope it stays that way. At this point I think I can actually talk about Atlantic the whole day if I’m given the chance to.
If you ever find yourself in Takoradi, Western Region- Ghana, I hundred percent recommend Atlantic Hotel for your stay. I should warn you though, the ambience will let you live in the moment and you might forget to take any pictures for future reference like how I always forget. Which I think is for the greater good right? Hehe. Anyway, I just know you’ll thank me later after your visit.
