AI is able to write code now

We would have heard so many great things about AI now. One of the biggest things that AI can do today is to write code that is required for some software or a website. Though it looks like an interesting feature, it is also not an easy task to extract clean and good code. Indeed, AI is slowly taking away the jobs of some developers, too, because AI can generate code easily. But that is also an advantage because, for example, some projects might take 1 year to complete, and now with the help of AI, the projects can be completed sooner, which is a good thing and not a bad thing.

AI prompts to write code

To get the right code, it is important to know the right prompts to make. Today, using AI tools requires this skill. This is very common, even before Chat GPT, I would say. People who would like to troubleshoot their issues usually have to ask the right question to Google. Today, the same thing happens with AI, too, where we have to provide the correct prompt to generate code for our project.

Need for coders to validate the code

The code provided by AI is not reliable and it is also not very clean. Mostly the code has lots of issues. There is a human intervention required where someone will have to sit and validate the code generated by AI. Validating the code or reviewing the code is also a hot job where there is a lot of learning involved because people can easily learn from how code is generated through AI.

AI takes away coding jobs

As I mentioned in one of the previous paragraphs, I won't believe that AI completely takes away someone's job. I would say that it is true that AI is now able to do many things faster than humans. But that only creates more opportunity because we can take more projects now compared to earlier. People can easily use some AI tools to improve their business. So the industry is just drifting, where they are looking for people who can use the AI tools rather than just using some regular tools.

Writing clean and optimized code

Human is still needed to write clean and optimized code. AI can provide a basic code, but to validate the code, coders are required, and AI may not know if it is writing optimized code or not. It is at least the case for now. Maybe in the future, this will improve further, and we might be able to get the AI-generated code as a clean and optimized one. AI is transforming every day, and we might be there someday.
