From Canva Projects to Matcha Latte Bliss: A Diary of My Slow-Paced Weekend!

Hello everyone! Hello to this wonderful @bayanihive community! It’s been a while since I have posted here and today I am going to share with you another life story. This is “LJ”, and welcome to my blog!

Slow-paced Sturday.png

Yesterday was Saturday, and I woke up late as usual. Weekends are my only chance to really rest, so I let myself sleep without any alarms. It felt so good to wake up naturally without the rush of work or obligations waiting for me. The house was quiet and calm, and I savored that peaceful moment before getting out of bed.

For brunch (breakfast+lunch), I had fried rice with burger steak and fried siomai. For my drink, I had cold milky mango juice. Eating a delicious food on a lazy weekend always feels like a small luxury. It instantly made me feel energized for the day.

Not long after my son Reygan approached me with a little request. He needed help creating a presentation on Canva for his Science report. I told him to get the Ipad and I guide him on choosing layouts, adding elements and selecting the right colors and fonts. It was nice spending time together, even if it was just for schoolwork. I loved seeing him get excited when he found a design he liked. Helping him made me feel proud and happy that he trusted me with his project. He was so happy that finally he was done with his presentation and knows already how to navigate the Canva app.

Once we finished, I rewarded myself with some downtime. I opened Netflix, and started watching a series I had been following. To make the experience better, I grabbed a serving of banana pudding I had saved from yesterday. I bought it from my go-to cafè shop nearby. The creamy sweetness was the perfect companion to my binge-watching session.

A few episodes in, I started to feel hungry again. It’s funny how watching can make you crave food even if you already ate. I decided to cook the cheese ramen that I bought last time from the korean store and I also poured myself a cup of matcha latte. These were my ultimate comfort foods especially when watching my favorite Netflix series.

As I sat back with my food, I look around, with the series still playing quietly in the background, and the afternoon lights streaming in the curtains, I realized how simple but satisfying my day had been so far. There were no big events or stressful tasks. Just a slow-paced Satuday where I could take my time, and enjoy good food, and spend a meaningful moment with my son. It’s in these small moments that life feels the most comforting and complete.

And that’s it for today’s blog! I hope you guys like it and thank you so much for dropping by! I hope to see you on my next one. Have a nice day ahead to all of us!

I love how you started it with a yummy brunch and ended with your favorite comfort foods. The part about helping Reygan with his Canva was Project so sweet.
