The Last Leaf: A Poem written in Tanka style

Unlike the Haiku style of poem writing which is a three-line poem, the Tanka captures a five-line poem. A bit longer than the Haiku. I'm not a poet, but I've been writing more of poetry this year , while learning and trying to capture the loads of burden to share. The poem "The last leaf" reflects the vibrant, brittle beauty of a leaf just before it falls.

The Last Leaf

The wood have traded their fire for bone
Watching the sky turn heavy with snow
The stubborn leaf hangs on
Waiting for the wind
And finding her root

This is my first attempt to Tanka writing style. Feedback and recommendations would be appreciated.
