It wasn’t long after we recovered from the COVID-19 wahala when another deadly flu was announced, this time called bird flu.

The news was all over the radio, warning people to be cautious, but still, the country did little or nothing about it.

One day, while we were sitting outside, our neighbor’s child managed to catch a bird and brought it home. The moment he stepped into the compound, his mother screamed at him to throw it away. When we asked why, she said the boy was bringing bird flu into the house. We couldn’t hold back our laughter.
