Disney Magic in the Sand

You know when you’ve waited so long for something, and when it finally arrives, you can’t contain your excitement? Oh yes! That was me the moment my Aunt told me we were going to attend Disney Sand Magic at the beach.

Anything and everything Disney? Count me in! I love Disney so much, heck I’m a Disney princess, but sadly not the one you see on TV, but we exist, and I am one of the real-life Disney princesses off screen, hehehe.

I am an adult but I still watch Disney Channel a lot, please don’t judge me, I’m just obsessed!

When my Aunt broke the good news to us, we were ecstatic. We weren’t going to Disneyland but, regardless, anything with a touch of Disney was fine by me and everyone else in my family.

The Sand Magic was to be held on a beach where sand sculptors from different parts of the world were to come create sand sculptures of popular Disney characters.

I couldn’t wait to get to the beach and be blown away by the mind-blowing sculptures. I longed to touch and feel how strong or soft the sculptures were.

Getting prepared the next day in my Disney merch and Mickey Mouse headband, my cousins, my Aunt, and I made our way to the beach. We were in high spirits, laughing and singing all through the ride.

Arriving at the beach we couldn’t believe how full the beach was.

We were greeted by different personnel who ushered us to where the event was being held. We passed various booths with each vendor calling out to us to patronize them. A lot was happening on the beach and we were all happy to be there.

We went around the beach, immersing ourselves in nature and watching the waves crash against the sea. We were privileged to see different gigantic sand sculptures, all of which were spectacular and none ugly.

It was one thing to see sand sculptures in movies and pictures but it was another thing to see and touch them. Feeling the texture of the sculptures felt surreal. They were strong but looked very soft and fragile.

I loved all the sand sculptures but my favorite was the sand sculpture of the shark from Finding Nemo. I enjoyed watching Finding Nemo and seeing the gigantic sculpture of Bruce the shark was exciting.

We all smiled, laughed, took pictures, and did everything that we could do in Disney Sand Magic.

It was truly an eventful day, one I will not forget in a hurry.
