The painter's house

In the image is a splash of red paint on a white board. The paint seemed to have been splashed skillfully to form a ribbon. Placed on the whiteboard is a paintbrush, probably the same brush used for the painting.

The painting doesn't look like the regular-kind of art, but the outcome looks neat and beautiful. One would suggest it was done by a professional artist who has a story to tell of his art. I feel the artist may not auction this painting, but place it in his house for a memory.

Story
Mr Andrew, a minimalist, stared at George's painting longer than he would have done on a regular painting. The painting had no image of an entity on it but splashes of red ink, skillfully done.
Maybe it's the simplicity of the painting that attracts me to it , he thought.

"What inspired you to do this painting?" He asked George who sat a bit far from the painting now packing some of his painting tools. He had left one of his brushes on it, a sign that he wasn't yet done with the work.
"Nothing, a few ink had splashed on the board and I decided to make something out of it" he answered.
"It's beautiful and I would like to buy it".
George's eyes bulged , his mouth parted, leaving it wide open. He never believed anyone would want it, knowing it was inspired by a random drop of paint.

"I appreciate your desire to buy it, but I wish to keep it," he replied. Not because he initially intended to, but because he wanted to place it in his paint house as a reminder that he can make perfect things out of imperfect ones.
He insisted even when Mr Andrew persisted in offering more. The painting remained in the paint house , each time reminding the painter that nothing is a mistake.

I really love how your stories usually comes short but has such an important message to take from it. From this one, I'm reminded that not everything is meant to be sold in exchange for money. In fact, some are made just so we could keep them as treasures and products of our memories.

Thank you for really highlighting that with this story and sharing with us. I enjoyed reading it.
