The missing cat

I see a cat with a white and black fur walking on the snow. There's no sight of anyone in the surrounding area, rather it looks like a wandering cat, lost in the snow. It looks focused with its golden amber eyes. The owner might have lost trace of it but with a strong will of her returns.

Mr and Mrs Adams had gone for a walk in the snow with Mitty, their lovely cat. It has a black and white fur, a texture that made her more adorable. They had walked for quite a distance when Mitty caught sight of what looked like a prey. Suddenly she took the chase. Mrs Adams called for Mitty to return as she ran toward her prey and fell on deaf ears.

A few minutes later, Mitty was nowhere to be seen. Mr and Mrs Adams became worried. They searched the entire place but couldn't find her. "She might return on her own" Mr Adams told his wife who looked worried and was already cursing, hoping to make her feel better, but that didn't work.
"I wouldn't return home without Mitty," she said sternly. Again they headed the same direction that Mitty had gone while calling her name.

Hours later, from afar they saw her on the snow with her eyes focused as if she had seen something in the hide.
"Mitty" Mrs. Adams called, now running toward her.
She might have noticed she had been away for a while, she hurried toward Mrs. Adams and mew at her.
"It's fine" Mrs Adams said, rubbing her furs, "now let's go home".
