The Ferryman Of Lantern

In a world where the border between the living and the dead was a river. Larry, a lady who wore red, became its guide. Each lantern that floated on the river was a representation of a lost soul. The gatekeeper had assigned her a task, which was to guide the souls home- using her staff to gather them onto her raft and bring them to the bridge.

One fateful day, she had traveled across to the river to guide the souls onto her raft when she noticed one had refused to be gathered. It kept flickering and she wondered what it was. After a few more attempts without success, she decided to look into it and realized it wasn't a soul but a message sent between the rift, from the land of the living to the dead.

She unboxed the message and heard the prayer of a lad. It was a prayer to her mum to fulfil a promise she had made before her departure. Larry felt compassion for the Lad and decided she would fulfil the promise the mother had made for the child before she was taken from her. She gathered the remaining souls that hover over the water and departed to the land of the living in search of this child whom prayer had crossed to the other side
