A picture is worth a thousand words

Ella, a girl of sixteen was enrolled in a new school after her grade six. Her present school was more of a standard than the previous one she had attended, everything seemed new to her especially the vocabularies the teacher speaks. She was happy to learn a new word everyday and couldn't wait to attend Mr Okafor's class.

Mr Okafor was an elderly man who was at the age of 40, he studied English at Ahmadu Bello University, where he graduated with a first class. He loved teaching and was happy to see his students grow in the use of grammar.
"Ella, can you tell me what "Feud" means?" He asked.
Ella stared at him, dumbfounded and biting the tip of her pen. In a soft voice she said, "I don't know". The entire class laughed. Ella buried her face in shame, but promised herself to learn a new word each time she was home.

She had just returned from school when she hurriedly went to pick her dictionary. The pain from her inability to answer the question is still written all over her face. She flipped the pages and soon discovered what the word means and she browsed through the dictionary to discover more words.

Soon she made a time table for studies and this helped her grow in her vocabulary. She was eager to attend Mr Okafor's class so she could learn a new word. She became Mr Okafor's favorite student and she came out one of the best students in English, to the bewilderment of her friends who had mock Ella because she came from a public school.
