A picture is worth a thousand words

"Where do you want to send it to?" James asked Agnes who was about to float her bright pink rubber flamingo on the river.
"To meet her other flamingoes" she replied with a smile, then set it on the river to float.

The bright pink flamingo floats serenely bobbing on the turquoise water under a clear sunny sky. James and Agnes watched it move gently tossed by the gentle waves that made ripples on the river.
"It wouldn't come back" James told Agnes as it went farther from them.
"I know, I'm setting it free," she replied.

James chuckled, wondering why letting a toy go felt like freedom.
"It's only a toy" he said, "more like a balloon that looks like a flamingo" he added.
She smiled at him, and walked away. She is only 4, James mumbled under his breath, he had seen how pitiful she looked at the toy before setting it on the water.
"Poor girl" he said and went to the other end of the river to collect the floating flamingo.

He got to the other end and saw Agnes holding the flamingo toy. He stood there puzzled wondering what she had said back there.
"I let it free whenever I want to let go of pain. My mum told me to do that whenever I'm angry" She told him.
"Oh, that's fine," he replied. "We can do this again together, some other time" James replied, having gotten a way to often let go of his pain.
