More Oil Paintings!

This Is Where I Draw the Line 2026. Oil on paper, 18 x 24" I read a quote in my chair right before painting this one (I paraphrase): “The drawing of a person is obviously not a person. The drawing of a line is a line”.

I’m still in a hyper spring trance. April tries to kill me every season, with blasts of fresh light from our energy star blocked by thick clouds since mid October. Maybe this is why I was able to keep up with Edgeworth (@jompiy) this time last year. A very productive 10 days in Muswell Hill!
I’ll list these paintings in the order they were made since last Wednesday. On Thursday I finished my part in our big painting upstairs, and on Saturday and Sunday I spring cleaned to exhaustion, but managed to find time for a couple paintings. Plopped back in my studio chair this morning (Monday), I did several more until dinner, and now for the show.
The paintings are in the order I made them. After finishing one, I take the wet brushes and begin the next. Maybe you will see some color continuity, who knows?
Thanks for the visit!
