Another Thursday Podcast, an ocean apart for art!
• Ron loses the first minute of footage because he was eager with the mouse and cut it accidentally. He was clapping “Hello!’ and Emma was waving saying “Hi Ron”. Then Edgeworth compliment Ron on his morning painting still taped to the easel. Ron talks about the Free Art Frees Art booklet he’s designing for print so he can hand out to people on the street. Edgeworth grabs a pen and paper and begins notetaking.

• Edgeworth thinks we can use that to our advantage somehow with Free Art Frees Art.
• The Sullivan Nod!
• “There are no heroes in art.” And Emma flexes her art history and theory muscles.
• I mean she really flexes!
• The church was the main patron of the arts. Then the merchants came and wanted attractive wall hangings. Now comes the individuality in art. Rich folks want the portraits of themselves, wife and kids... Call in the illustrators! The concept of the artist as “superartist” or “hero” starts to develop at that time.
• DaVinci wanted to lift art out of its “craft” label. Make it more “intellectual”.
• Well done Emma!
• “A living dog is better than a dead lion.”
• A low bar says Edgeworth, “Well, at least I’m not dead!”

• Blurt technicalities that neither me, Edgeworth, and definitely Emma, know nothing about!
