The Top Dungeon Farmer (Webtoon)

I've been reading a bunch of Webtoons recently, and I've been enjoying them. They're so entertaining and are really great stress relievers. And unlike anime or movies, I can stop with one short chapter and resume later on. It's perfect for days when I don't have a lot of break time.

I've actually finished or caught up with reading four different stories, and this time I'm going to talk about The Top Dungeon Farmer.

My Taiwanese friend has been recommending stories related to dungeons and similar topics, and I find them enjoyable. Perhaps because of the algorithm, I saw this particular Webtoon on my recommendation page and immediately decided to give it a try.

The story is about Sejun, who was originally a resident of Seoul. The world he lives in somehow changed when some magical and enormous towers appeared. Before that, some people in the area has gone missing and were believed to be sucked into a black hole-like gate. When the tower appeared, they reappeared as "The Awakeneds".

Only special people can enter the tower, although some may obtain special tickets to gain admission. However, they're so expensive.

Sejun dreamed of becoming one. However, it's pretty rare for black holes to appear these days, so he's been trying to save for a ticket. One day, he was on his way home from getting some groceries when a black hole opened in front of him. He thought he was among the chosen ones, when he realized the black hole wasn't sucking him in, but instead starting to grow smaller.

Wanting to fulfill his dream, he impulsively dove into the black hole, but instead of finding himself on the first floor, he found himself underground.

Since going out was hopeless, he decided to plant some of the items he had bought from the grocery store to be self-sufficient.

Many days passed, the dungeon administrator finally realized that he wasn't supposed to be there. But instead of getting rid of him, he was finally awakened, but not as an adventurer... but a farmer.

Sejun's life as a farmer, alongside his newfound friends and special crops, began! What would his life trapped in the dungeon be like? Check it out on Webtoons!


This is such a fun story to read. I really enjoyed the plot and the storyline. The first season of this Webtoon has ended at chapter 100, so I'm patiently waiting for the second one to start.

Sejun is a fascinating and wise character. I love his growth and his mindset. There are also many charming characters, such as the farmer bunnies, the merchant cat, the red bear, the queen bees, and others. I can't get enough of them.

Despite the main character being a farmer, the story is surprisingly exciting and amusing to read. It's really fun to see the crops he grew and his strategies for counteracting various situations.

Since the story is still ongoing, some questions remain unanswered. It makes me more excited about what's to come.

I also like how new characters are introduced, as well as the structure and layout of the tower's floors. It reminds me of Sword Art Online because every floor seems to be a different world. There are peaceful ones with cute residents, and floors filled with crazy monsters. Also, I love the dungeon administrator... she's so cute! hahaha

All in all, it was such a good read. I'm excited to keep reading the story once season two becomes available. So, if you're looking for something adventurous and scenes with cuteness overload, then this one's for you!
