Hello Hello Hivians and welcome to this hunt for Wednesday Walk
And that means sunshine with some warm sun streaming in through the windows.
I fancied making a salad yesterday for dinner but didn't have any greens in the form of lettuce.
I decided to goto the shop via the park to find out!
This then is my hunt for the elusive lettuce yesterday afternoon.
Actually I was going to meet Mrs T from her bus, but I received a text saying her bus hadn't even turned up yet.
Ever the positive me decided to go on a detour before I bought my lettuce for dinner. Heck I might even see some other treats along the way.
It was an opportune time to receive the text as I was walking past the park entrance for cars and buses.
Some people don't read ....
Do you see the ...
... sign and the car parked
I will let them off as it was a school holiday and also 5.30pm so there were buses needing to park there.
So time to walk through the main road in the park.
Dogs were being walked and wee kids were out in force too!
The trees are gradually getting buds and some leaves back, so this view will be much different in a month or so.
Usually I shoot off down to the left and through the rose garden to feed the swans on the boat pond.
There are a few buildings in the park that have this gorgeous rich red paint on woodwork.
This one is a bowling club and here you can see the lawn. Yes it is not ten pin bowling but lawn bowls.
Last year I showed these trees that had a strange looking low hanging fruit!
Loads of fluffing shoes, I think they were cleared as there are not as many trees with them.
The trees are right by the skate park and I am sure it is the local neds that throw shoes up and over the branches by their shoelaces.
Look what I saw across the grass...
Well I had no time to get an ice cream, as my Mrs T had texted that she was on a bus and was making up time!
So it was time for me to scoot out of the park and get that lettuce for the salad!
I always love that church over the roundabout, it has a cool circular building that is hidden by the houses.
Anyway we were here at the grocery store.
Do you see the bright blue sky?
Keep an eye on it!
I guess everyone wanted a salad with lettuce or baby leaves as they were sold out.
Luckily they had some baby spinach which of course is a good alternative. Not too mention some chestnut mushrooms which are so tasty raw in a salad.
Finally Mrs T's bus turned up, and was a double decker and white! Normally it is blue and a single decker. I wonder what happened.
Do you see the sky, not blue anymore!!
We have the sea fog or mist that comes rolling in and we call it the Haar.
It was cold too it was more like freezin fog coming in.
It was tasty, can you guess all the ingredients!
I hope you enjoy mt frolic in the sun on the beach!
This post is for #wednesdaywalk which was inspired by @tattoodjay
Mr T, you with your guessing games, you know I cannot resist a challenge like this, especially if there's food involved. I had a light supper, am getting hungry again!
Firstly, the trees, I have a fascination with them, not sure why! The avenue of trees looks very impressive, I'd love to see it again when the leaves appear again; it must be quite a sight! Stinky fruit on some!
How quickly the sky turned - the 'haar', never heard that term, but sounds kind of ominous.
Back to the delicious salad - it would have made a nice foodie post - why not start a series of quick and easy meals?
Ingredients - sadly, NO lettuce!
You should rather have asked what is not in the salad, it's brimful and of goodness, too;)
Don't think you can fit anything more on that plate!
Have a wonderful Wednesday Ed!
I love that park as it was used to race motorbikes around the track, must be amazing seeing them speed past through the trees. The avenue of trees is all sides and yes looks amazing for each season.
You were so close Lizzie, the grated cheese was cheddar. And I did have two little pickled onions but not red ones, there was pickled red cabbage though...
Yes the silver fish was sardine.
Aha, I wasn't sure if it was diced pickled onion! It looked like a nice summery meal. We're having another hot day here; maybe salad for supper!
Have a great Sunday, Edđ¤
What my eyes can see is: hard-boiled egg, beets, carrots, mushrooms, cheese, cabbage, spinach, corn, cherry tomatoes, red onion! The dressing I don't know, but it has pepper in it!!!! I imagine that in the end if you bought the ice cream because the products are in an ice cream cooler. hahaha. I'd be curious to know if those shoes on the tree is part of a youth ritual, a rebellious act or simple vandalism. A big hug , Ed!
Hehe no ice cream, yesterday we walked past there and I was going to buy one, but I decided we had ice cream at home. We had been digging in the earth with our bare hands so no ice cream!
The shoes, its little idiots being little idiots. A big lace hug Nancy
You would let them off? I never knew you were part of the parking police.
Now I understood what you meant when you sent me that lettuce emoji. Turns out the lettuce had legs and made away.
Ehn? I can't guess it all but I do see eggs tomatoes,
Are those mushrooms? Corn, ehnnnn... pigs blood? Shredded onions? Unseasoned rice? And the goat leaves.
It is for kids buses, but people park all over the place, on the pavements to block pedestrians. I would tow all cars parked like that into the sea and say fluff you.
Ah yes I did send you a lettuce emoji, see I was looking for it everywhere.
No pigs blood, I think you are seeing pickled red cabbage, no rice so not sure what you were seeing for that, coleslaw or potato salad maybe. No shredded onions although there were a couple of pickled onions!
Aha yes I forget you call healthy greens as goat leaves!
Wishing you a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious sunday Deraa and thanks for coming in by.
I guess it's a spinach salad kind of a day when they're out of lettuce! It looks like it came out nicely even without that missing lettuce!
When do the trees start to bud out leaves? It must be getting close to back to the green season once again. And what's with all the shoes in the tree? There must be a reason for it, at least one would assume.. But you know what happens when you assume anything...
Glad to see you finally have some nice blue sky, and lots of sunshine. Hopefully it warms up soon!
I usually put a baby leaf salad but wanted iceberg lettuce as it keeps longer. I don't mind salads but not two days in a row, maybe one three or four days later.
The trees are getting more and more buds every day. We went for a walk to the lake where every year there is what I call daffodil alley.
You can see buds and young leaves are sprouting up all over the place so to speak!
Spring has officially arrived! I hear you about the salad, two days in a row gets old and spinach doesn't keep as well as lettuce. Enjoy your Sunday, hopefully it's warm and sunny!
Hehehe. I'm curious about the shoes. How long will it stay there?đ¤Łđ. Some of the ingredients I cannot nameđđ
I think they get taken down once a year as some trees don't have any on them any more!
a cool walk and a fun reading, amd yes the world over people cannot read signs and park in all kind sof odd places, some do not even know the lines in a car park are tio park between not over LOL
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Thanks Jay, you are right, people either don't read or conveniently ignore it!
Hope you are having a great day.
I think its a mix of both, some or should i say many these days have a sense of entitlement and feel signs do not apply to them

Well I see some tomatoes, greens from the spinach and sausages but the rest is alien to me đ.
Grated carrot is in there that you know and grated cheese too! No honey though
đđđ
I doubt honey goes well with a veggie salad. It would be too sweet đđ
