Ikoyi is Old Money

This is my entry for the #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. There is one thing that I love about this part of Lagos, Nigeria. It is the fact that is far less populated than any part that I know. I can bet you that this axis has a very low population than any other part of the state in Nigeria. I am not surprised that the current president of the country also reside in this city of Ikoyi. It is so peaceful and less noise as well as clean streets. This is a place that I would love to live in if I ever decide to live on the Island.

There is also this part of the Island that is called Lekki. I have been very familiar with this place and I thought it is the most beautiful part of the state but after my walking around this Ikoyi axis I can confidently say that Lekki is over hyped and cannot in any way stand Ikoyi. Ikoyi is the the Old Money, they have less populated street, beautiful structures, better drainages, clean street among other things. There is nothing better than being in a place with beautiful structures.

This above Swimming pool was actually a photograph from one Lekki apartment. I believe that this is an advanced gutter and there is nothing standard about this swimming pool. I can even call it swimming poop because this is total rubbish. I believe that this building was not meant to have this they just forced it there. And, to be frank it is not safe for swimming

This is very true, that part of Lagos should even be given to Benin Republic.

Thanks for stopping by

‘Old money’ is the perfect description of what ikoyi is like.

Less noise, beautiful buildings, exotic cars and lovely scenery.
You’ll always be reminded that there’s truly money in Naija.

That can’t really be a swimming pool😂
