It has been raining almost non stop over here the past days. I've spent most of the time indoors and wasn't able to go out for a round and take some shots (at least, not without getting completely wet). I even wasn't able to make my #wednesdaywalk
This morning my wife dropped me off at the train station by car so I could go to work.
Normally I go for a walk in my break, but again the rain.
When I arrived at the train station when I finished working it was 'only' drizzling, so I decided to walk my way back home. It's a nice walk of about 3 kilometers. Partly through an urban area, but also a part through a nice park.
So I hope you don't mind me posting a #thursdaywalk for a change @tattoodjay 😀
The first thing I encountered was this statue of Herman Boerhaave; a famous Dutch botanist, chemist, Christian humanist, and physician.
He is regarded as the founder of clinical teaching and of the modern academic hospital and is sometimes referred to as "the father of physiology," (source:wikipedia)
In the street behind the statue are some really nice old houses. in the middle of the road are trees with beautiful pink flowers. I don't know which tree it is.
When I walked on the drizzle stopped. The sun was trying hard to burst through the clouds.
At the entrance of the park there is a small deer park. Two storks who have their nest in the park were foraging in the little pools the rain created.
When I walked near the pond in the park, the sun peaked throug the clouds again resulting in some lovely sunrays.
At the banks I spotted two ducks. I could get quite close to take this shot. You can see they are quite used to people in the park.
Photographing is my passion. Although I like photography in general, nature photography is one of my favourite subjects. I often go out with my camera for a hike to capture the beauty of nature.
I'm sharing my photos on Hive, Noise.Cash & APPICS.
I would love to read what you think of my photos in the comments.

First off of course its fine to share the post today, I don't have rules just guidelines and one says if possible post on a Wednesday, so this is fine :)
Glad it was only drizzling and you were able to get a nice walk in I really love the photo with the ray of light over the pond
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Those were nice shots of the sunray coming through. 😊
Magic ray of the golden sun) Beautiful!
Lovely walk friendlymoose. Nice that you were able to get out around the rain. That seems to be a constant battle here with the rain lately. Nice capture of the sunrays 🙂 Blossoming trees are also nice to see. Still waiting for spring here in Vermont
That's a nice walk friend, I like the animals, they seem to be very friendly.
