My cousin came into Kaduna for a few days with me. She studies in the University of Jos and I don’t see her very often. Anyway, she came in with our long time friend and boy, I almost couldn’t recognise them.
She came in on Saturday. Before that, I had taken the two kittens I had rescued to the vet to be checked and dewormed. Asher and Miracle. Unfortunately, we lost Miracle today. We administered the deworming medicine late. We are left with Asher.
Moving forward, I followed the two ladies around town for a bit. We went around Malali, precisely Halima Balengu by Sultan road. First time hearing of it and I have only been to this part of town twice. The roads are all tarred and the day was sunny enough to be humid. The girls kept on complaining about how hot it was and how Jos was way colder.
We visited Jessy Photo Studio because my cousin wants to pick photography up as a profession after she is done studying. The photo studio was well lit and had beautiful concepts. From antartica vibes…
…to Subharan. I love the whole vibes so much. There was also the touch of Culture. You can see the section that heavily screams ‘Kano’ - a state in Nigeria rich with Northern culture and lifestyle.
Every nook was a well put together lot for the art that is photography. Even outside was the same story. I loved the loud use of White and the blend of classy elegance with minimal aesthetics. We didn’t stay long and soon moved on home.
The weather was very sunny with beautiful clouds just over the top and Shoprite the very center of attention beneath it.
That and NTA, the TV station my mom served in during her time in the NYSC. I also remember being there, although I do not remember the full details of it but I remember the buns and donuts and I got from my mom’s colleagues when she went back to introduce me as her daughter years later.
I remember vaguely the compliments and the cheers that I recieved for being my mothers’ daughter. Just like that day, today was also painted with beautiful clouds - vivid ones. It reminded me of a promise.
My walk was very short and I am still sad as I write this post. Losing Miracle hurt so deeply, and I would do whatever it takes to not lose Asher as well. Although, Asher isn’t exhibiting any signs but she still needs medical attention. I will be taking her to the vet tomorrow. I really just want all to go well.
It hurt me just as much as it hurts you we lost miracle God Why after all the care it painful
It is painful. But we move. Thank you
Yes we move
Am sorry for your loss, Asher who is used to Miracle will also feel the absence but you'll feel it the more. See how beautiful the studio, If was with you I would make some captures too.
Haha. It is a beautiful place really.
So sorry about miracle now Asher will feel lonely without miracle. This pictures are so beautiful and honestly I never knew that kano is this beautiful, I'm surprised.
Hehe. Thank you very much. This is Kaduna. Not Kano…😅
Am thinking about the wee one.
Me too.
