On the Rooftop of Paris... Where to find the Best View ?

Hi everyone ! The answer for me is multiple as I can think of quite a few high monuments and other prominences from which the view can be beautiful, but out of all of these, if I have to choose just one place, my choice will be quickly made !

The monument in question offers many advantages, first of all, it is central which allows to be not too close nor too far from all the recognizable monuments of Paris. It offers several floors which allows you to appreciate the different stages of the ascent and the views according to them and finally, it is a museum which, in my opinion, is one of the most diversified and rich in the capital. If you are interested in post modern and contemporary art.

For those of you who already know a bit about Paris, you may have guessed that I am talking about the Centre Pompidou! It's a place where I have the chance to work from time to time and I have to say that one of my favorite days there is obviously Tuesday as there is no public on that day ^^ !

This is what the building looked like in the shadows when I arrived that morning. For an article more dedicated to the architecture and history of this national museum, you can go to this side.

After a quick tour of the empty forum, I take the lift along the facade and go up to the showroom where I have to work... I feel that until a certain moment, I won't really have the opportunity to go hunting in the heights of the city !

A short break doesn't give me much more opportunity, even though the Stravinsky fountain and St Merry's Church are already in sight...

At lunchtime, I'm back on level 0, but I still have some time to spare before going back to work, so I set off to climb the glass caterpillar in order to reach the highest point I could reach !

Here I am on the right track, here between the 3rd and 4th floor...

The fifth ?

No, that's not enough, let's try one more !

That's better, but I'm still behind the curved glass of this transparent caterpillar and I'd like to be able to have some pictures and views without interruption...

I manage to find my way to the "George" restaurant on the roof of the building, which is probably accessible since the museum is closed and there are no customers.

Finally, I got what I wanted ! The Eiffel Tower, St Eustache and the Bourse du Commerce on the first picture and of course Montmartre on the second picture.

I go back down and to top it all off, I learn that my day has been cut short for organizational reasons. Life is sometimes well done! With this nice weather, I'll be able to go to the cinema ^^ I'm joking of course, who in their right mind would go to the museum in such a weather ?

Salut à tous ! La réponse est pour moi multiple car je pense à d'assez nombreux monuments en hauteur et autres proéminences d'où la vue peut être belle, mais parmi toutes celles-ci, si je dois choisir un seul endroit, mon choix sera vite fait !

Le monument en question offre de nombreux avantages, tout d'abord, il est central ce qui permet de n'être pas trop près ni trop loin de tout les monuments reconnaissables de Paris. Il offre plusieurs étages ce qui permet d'apprécier par paliers les étapes de l'ascension et les vues en fonction et pour finir, il s'agit d'un musée selon moi, parmi les plus diversifiés et riches de la capitale. Si encore on s'intéresse à l'art post moderne et contemporain.

Pour ceux qui connaissent déjà un peu Paris, vous aurez peut-être deviné que je parle du Centre Pompidou ! C'est un endroit où j'ai la chance de travailler à l'occasion et je dois dire qu'une de mes journées favorites là-bas, c'est bien évidemment le mardi comme il n'y a pas de public ce jour-ci ^^ !

Voilà à quoi ressemble le bâtiment plongé dans l'ombre à mon arrivée ce matin-là. Pour un article plus dédié à l'architecture et à l'histoire de ce musée national, vous pourrez aller faire un tour de ce côté-ci.

Après un rapide tour dans le forum vide de monde, je prends l'ascenseur qui longe la facade et monte jusqu'à la salle d'exposition où je dois travailler... Je sens que jusqu'à un certain moment, je n'aurais pas vraiment encore l'occasion d'aller chasser les hauteurs de la ville !

Une courte pause ne m'en laisse pas beaucoup plus d'occasion, même si on aperçoit déjà la fontaine Stravinsky et l'Église St Merry...

À la pause de midi, me revoilà au niveau 0, pour autant, j'ai encore un peu de temps avant de reprendre le travail et je pars donc à l'assaut de cette chenille de verre afin d'accéder au point le plus élevé auquel je pourrais accéder..!

Me voilà en bonne voie, ici entre le 3ème et 4ème étage...

Le 5 ème ?

Non, ce n'est pas suffisant, essayons en encore un !

Voilà, là c'est déjà mieux, mais je suis toujours derrière le verre courbe de cette chenille transparente et j'aimerai pouvoir avoir quelques images et vues sans interruption...

Je parviens à trouver mon chemin jusqu'au restaurant "George" qui se trouve sur le toit du bâtiment et qui est probablement accessible puisque que le musée est fermé et qu'il n'y a donc aucun client.

Enfin, j'ai ce que je voulais ! La Tour Eiffel, St Eustache et la Bourse du Commerce sur la première et bien entendu Montmartre sur la seconde image.

Je redescends et pour couronner le tout, j'apprends que ma journée est écourtée pour des raisons d'organisation. La vie est parfois bien faite ! Avec ce beau temps, je vais pouvoir aller m'enfermer au cinéma ^^ Je plaisante bien sûr, qui sain d'esprit irait au musée par un temps pareil ?

Ici, une installation colorée pour les enfants... Un truc dont je pense que nous aurions tous adoré connaître à cet âge là !
