I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Last night I checked in on another blockchain project where I had an account, Flote, and much to my surprise, I found that their main site was no longer active. They apparently attempted a rebranding, and things didn't go as planned. This kind of thing happens a lot with smaller software projects that are led and developed by either one individual or a small group of people, no matter how amazing it might be. Projects like this have very little resilience to unexpected events. Operation funding for such projects are also often unstable, further lowering their resilience in the face of challenges.
This is another area where Hive excels, as there is no one individual, company, or small group that runs and develops Hive. Individual people may come and go, but Hive continues regardless, because the development is decentralized as well.
Particular apps, websites, or front-ends may or may not have staying power, depending on how their development teams are set up, but Hive as a social Blockchain continues onward. The more work and infrastructure can be decentralized and distributed, the better.
Hive's decentralized development is yet another reason why investing in this exceptional Blockchain, whether with attention, time, energy, efforts, or outside funds, is an excellent idea, as aside from the incredible financial potential that Hive possesses, it also has resilience and staying power. Hive will likely not disappear tomorrow, or the next day, or the next after that. The same cannot be said for many other social blockchain projects, like Bastyon (originally Pocketnet - where I spent a good deal of time before discovering Hive), where the development is far more centralized.
I've been around the block a few times in terms of technology, blockchains, social media platforms, open-source software development, and decentralized/distributed networks, and I can tell you that Hive is head and shoulders above anything else out there, and its resiliency is excellent (and always improving), too, which means that it has durability through time. It's pretty incredible that Hive has been created and developed in such a way that if any one individual, or even multiple people, disappeared, Hive would continue, as it should. Yes indeedy, we've got something truly special here with this glorious Blockchain.
After publishing this post's previous iteration yesterday, I stayed focus on my Hive catch-up and tasks until I finished them around 3PM, at which point I left the Flow House to go get some land work done. I ended up having two long and interesting conversations, one with Laksanya in Tutu's, and the other with Allie in the Landing, so I started on my land-work tasks later than I had expected. Luckily one of my tasks was to reconnect and rebury the PVC piping for the Landing sink, after it had to be dismantled due to getting clogged, so I was able to continue talking with Allie as I worked.
With the piping done, I set my sights on cutting some branches of one of the Christmasberry trees that were overhanging, and casting too much shade, one one of the few remaining mamaki plants on the property. I took down three branches, though there is still one large one that I need to cut, which I'll likely do today.
After finishing with the branch cutting, I took a shower, made food in the Landing, then returned to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive catch-up and tasks. I was able to get that done early again, so I went to sleep also quite early, around 10:30PM. I slept well last night, and I feel good this morning. I had a session with Laksanya scheduled for 12PM that had to be rescheduled, so the early part of my day opened up a bit, which I'll devote to Hive, of course.
It's now just past 10:30AM, so a great time to end this post for now, so that I can get to my morning Hive catch-up and tasks. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow morning! Onward and upward, together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
