I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 8 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
When I updaded my currently-running Arch Linux system this morning, right before cloning the SSD on which it's running, much to my intense chagrin I discovered that most X11 support had been removed from KDE Plasma, which is the desktop environment that I've appreciated and used for many years now, leaving only Wayland sessions available. I prefer to use X11 for multiple reasons, one of which being that all the apps that I use run under it just fine, which is not the case under Wayland. The irony of X11 support being removed from KDE Plasma, is that the leadership of that project stated that they would not be removing support for X11. That ranks very high on my 'stupid shit' meter.

I explained my annoyance at this turn of events to Hermes, and it immediately got to work assessing the situation, and finding ways to resolve it, which it did successfully, and in two different manners. The first fix that Hermes created was to use the still-existing X11 plumbing in certain KDE Plasma components, and it recreated the missing parts, so that I would be able to run KDE Plasma using X11. The one significant issue to this way if doing it is that when the last remnants of the X11 backend are finally removed, then it would no longer work.

So for the moment at least, I'm choosing to adapt and to keep moving forward under Wayland, as opposed to trying to hack KDE Plasma to make it work with X11. Very thankfully Hermes' other solution path, which was fooling the failing X11 apps to make them 'think' that they were still running under X11, was successful, so now two X11 applications, Plank and Conky (Conky actually has Wayland support, but it's very buggy), are running correctly within my current Wayland session, which is excellent indeed.

The necessary overrides were placed into the autostart settings for both applications, so that they will load as soon as my Wayland desktop session opens. Hermes also created a new skill which codified the successful procedure, to replicate it in my two other Arch/Artix Linux installations when they are updated, since I use KDE Plasma under X11 on all of them (or at least I did).

Having an onboard AI agent to assess and resolve issues like this quickly is such a game-changer, because it saves me the time of having to dive into researching how to fix them, which I've done innumerable times before. Even though I do really love Arch and Artix Linux, I've been finding myself gravitating toward Arch-based Omarchy Linux quite strongly lately, and in large part exactly because AI agents like Hermes are deeply integrated into the functioning of the operating system. Because of the way in which Omarchy is installed, using full-disk encryption, I can't convert my current Arch/Artix installations into Omarchy installations, which means that I would need to migrate essential data, and to change how I do various things. I'm still feeling into, and considering, my possible paths, but Omarchy is definitely calling to me.

Yesterday, Saturday, I left the Flow House by around 2:15PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, and then after a few online tasks up at the Flow House, I went to Tutu's, after being enlisted by Michael days earlier, to begin preparing food for the community meal in the early evening. The food that Michael and I made came out delicious, and it was a big hit, very thankfully. After sharing dinner, I finally said my 'good night' by around 7PM, and after stopping by Wabisabi to collect my leftover superfood fire coffee from the small temporary fridge, I made my way back to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to work some more with Hermes. I got through all of my notifications by about 10:30PM, and after another round of working with Hermes, I went to bed by just after 12AM. I woke up by around 7:30AM, having slept well, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House, to write this post, and to work a bit more with Hermes. It's now just before 2PM, so it's an excellent time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my more-numerous other important Sunday Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's expression of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

There will be more ALIVE pools coming soon!

This is our collaboratively shared Witness node between the We Are Alive Tribe, and @borniet's and my MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) Project, here to build something good for all of us! The higher in the witness ranking we go, the more that we'll be able to grow the We Are Alive Tribe, and the more that we'll be able to share with all of you!

If you appreciate what we're doing with the We Are Alive Tribe, and feel inspired and motivated to lend a hand in building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, which benefits all of us, community conntributions/donations/investments may be sent to our 'We Are Alive Tribe Sovereign Wealth Investment Fund' account, @waat-swif. They're deeply appreciated, and are put to very good use.

Bjorn is our badass coder who hosts and manages our (and also Bradley's) community backends, he creates all sorts of useful tools, and he assists people all over the Blockchain constantly. He redefines the term 'busy'!

Bradley's tenaciously committed and all-in on Hive for the long haul (just like me!), and the higher his witness goes in the ranking, the higher the weekly BBH and BBHO dividend payouts will be!
