I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

It's no secret that I'm a strong supporter of community-driven FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) operating systems, applications, frameworks, and now that I've dived so deeply into it, AI models and agent harnesses as well, and for several notable reasons. With AI models there's also the layer of the training weights, which also need to be open and easily visible and reviewable, especially given how powerful that each new generation of models is becoming. The capability of the top-tier closed-source and closed-weight corporate cloud models a year ago is now accessible to everyone as open-source and open-weight models that can be run on consumer hardware, which is utterly extraordinary.

With the rapidly-increasing capability of AI models and agentic-AI frameworks like Hermes Agent, a good portion of FOSS projects now have them as major contributors to new code, including the development of AI models and agents, which are being utilized to build themselves, and very quickly indeed. Each new open-source and open-weight model released gets closer and closer to the capability of the best closed-source, closed-weight corporate cloud models, and it's likely they will soon exceed this capability, because their development is being pushed forward by multitudes of passionate people worldwide, that believe that everyone should have this level of intelligence freely and easily available to them, not only to create and build, but also to defend themselves.

While I'm keeping close track of the extremely-rapid development in AI and agentic-AI systems, on my own laptop I'm still battling the run flags of multiple llama.cpp variants, in my ongoing quest to get several larger MOE (Mixture-of-Expert) models running for any length of time successfully, and it's been quite a challenge indeed, I've got to say. My main issue is the very-limited amount of VRAM (Video RAM) that my otherwise excellent gaming laptop has. I know for a fact that what I'm trying to do is indeed possible, I just haven't hit upon the essential run-flag balance just yet.

I'm giving so much focus to getting my own locally-run agentic-AI framework up and running successfully because the potentials of what I'd be able to do with it are absolutely incredible, and those potentialities only multiply the more time passes. I want to get myself in the game as soon as I possibly can, for multiple reasons.

The paid, cloud-based manner of working with corporate-controlled AI will likely come to an end soon, and exactly because everyone will have easy access to the capabilities of those top-tier frontier models for free, on regular laptops and phones. There is a rapidly-rising number of people worldwide that are now using locally-run, open-source, open-weigjt AI models , and AI agents like Hermes, to generate income and to run their businesses. I'll certainly be looking into the possibility of that once I get my own locally-run agentic-AI framework up and running successfully, and well.

Yesterday, Thursday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by just before 2:45PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, and to a little sunbathing on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn. Once I was well sunned, I got my machete and I did more clearing in the front orchard between the two driveways. With that brought to completion for the day, I took a shower, made Avi (who's paying me to do so) and myself some food, collected my leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and with those in hands I headed back to the Flow House, to scan my X feed a bit more, and to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by just before 10PM, and after another scan of my X feed, and another test run of llama.cpp flags, I went to bed by just after 11:30PM. I woke up super late, by around 9:15AM, having slept well, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 1:15PM, so it's a lovely time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. 2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
