I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Well, I've been working with my Hermes Agent for just about 13 days now, and it's been a fascinating, sometimes frustrating, and quite motivating and satisfying journey so far. Most people who use Hermes don't run the AI LLM on their local devices, but rather they connect Hermes to cloud-based models. Some don't even install and run Hermes locally, opting instead to do so from a VPS, and communicating with it via Telegram or any of numerous other messaging channels. While I appreciate non-local setups, especially regarding the LLM, for the most part I far prefer to do everything locally.

A notable challenge with running LLM's locally is that what you're able to run, and how well it functions, depends on your hardware resources, especially for the CPUs and GPUs. Although my laptop is a very high-end gaming system, I'm still riding pretty much right on the edge of what's feasible and possible. To keep resource use within bounds, I have to use smaller models, with lower precision and accuracy. I do pretty well overall, but how the system limits affect continuity of context across many sessions has been an area of some frustration, especially when working on more complex, multifaceted, multi-layered, and many-step development projects (like connecting and making it possible for Hermes to transact within the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem).

To address the loss of focus and context across sessions, I've been exploring and experimenting with different external memory provides (though, again, always choosing local first), and even with different context engines, with varying results. Currently I'm using Mnemosyne as the memory provider, and the LCM (Losess Context Management) context engine, which definitely seems to work better than using Holographic memory with LCM. I've still got quite a lot to experimentation and testing to go to hit upon the ideal combination.

For ongoing, longer-term development processes and flows, that current setup still leaves a bit to be desired. As such, I'm now in the process of implenting the idea beautifully described in Andrej Karpathy's brilliant LLM Wiki Github Gist, which I believe will solve one of my main pain points in working with my local Hermes-LLM setup.

Although Hermes Agent is already quite good at remembering information, and returning to the proper context, for my own developmental purposes, and working with my present hardware constraints, it still needs a bit of modifying and tweaking. A local implementation of the LLM Wiki is certainly looking like the best course of action at the moment, as it would add another layer to my agent's current memory system, making long-term context focus much more practically achievable. That sounds good to me. Now to see how the implementation and testing go.

Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by around 3PM, giving my attention first to a few small jungle-community tasks, and to some photography for my posts. Once I had those completed, I took a quick break up at the Flow House, after which I made a food-supply run to Tutu's to restock Wabisabi, I made and enjoyed a new batch of some of my special popcorn, I made myself some food, I collected my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and with those in hands I headed back to the Flow House, to work a bit more with Hermes, and to begin on my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by a bit after 10PM, and after some more agentic-AI research, and working with Hermes for one last round, I went to bed by just before 12:30AM. I woke up by just after 7AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more agentic-AI research, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, helping Ano unload and reload his truck for the Sunday market, then returning to the Flow House to work with Hermes a bit more, and to write this post. It's now just before 1:45PM, so it's quite a good time indeed to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my other few important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's manifestation of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

There will be more ALIVE pools coming soon!

This is our collaboratively shared Witness node between the We Are Alive Tribe, and @borniet's and my MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) Project, here to build something good for all of us! The higher in the witness ranking we go, the more that we'll be able to grow the We Are Alive Tribe, and the more that we'll be able to share with all of you!

If you appreciate what we're doing with the We Are Alive Tribe, and feel inspired and motivated to lend a hand in building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, which benefits all of us, community conntributions/donations/investments may be sent to our 'We Are Alive Tribe Sovereign Wealth Investment Fund' account, @waat-swif. They're deeply appreciated, and are put to very good use.

Bjorn is our badass coder who hosts and manages our (and also Bradley's) community backends, he creates all sorts of useful tools, and he assists people all over the Blockchain constantly. He redefines the term 'busy'!

Bradley's tenaciously committed and all-in on Hive for the long haul (just like me!), and the higher his witness goes in the ranking, the higher the weekly BBH and BBHO dividend payouts will be!

tydynrain, you mined 1.0 🟧 HBIT. If you'd replied to another Hive user, the HBIT would be split: 0.9 to you and 0.1 to them as a tip. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. 🏴☠️
Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.7421908751699937, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><
Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! 😃 Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.
