Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Well, I'm sad to say that my first attempt at converting one of my Arch Linux installations into Artix Linux yesterday evening ended in failure, which made it necessary for me to restore my previously-functioning Arch installation from a backup that I made just beforehand. The restoration process took longer than I'd hoped, and since my laptop was operating from an Artix live environment during the restoration, it was not usuble for my evening Hive tasks, which I had to complete on my phone instead. Although this first attempt was not successful, and I did have a feeling that I might have some issues, it was also very educational for me, and I learned a good bit.

Everything that I've learned in Linux, I've done so by diving in and figuring things out for myself, with lots of research, experimentation, tweaking, testing, and refining as I go. Whenever something important doesn't work or breaks, it makes me dive into finding the cause, and to fixing it. I've gone through many, many, many rounds of this over the years, and in the process of resolving my issues, I've always come to a far greater understanding of how Linux in general, and my Linux systems work, which has allowed me to do far more, and in a much more rapid, efficient, and effective manner. Yeah, when components on which I depend don't work, it sucks, but it's really just an invitation to come to understand things more clearly and deeply.

Switching init (startup) systems, in my case from systemd to dinit, is not something that I've ever tried before, as aside from managing service scripts, I've hardly worked with any init system directly at all, so it was very much a tech blindspot for me. So this 'problem' is now giving me the opportunity to really learn and understand how init systems work in Linux, so that I'll soon able to work with them as easefully as I do so many other areas of a Linux system. It helps me to flesh out and to integrate my knowledge and understanding, which makes me increasingly more capable in my techy endeavors.

I've been going over and analyzing my points of failure from this first Arch-to-Artix conversion attempt, and I'm already taking notes on various important things to keep in mind for my next round. It may indeed take me a few tries before I'm fully successful, but as I noodle out and resolve the sticking points, I will surely get closer each time, as is almost always the case.

The primary challenge for me with researching, testing, and resolving notable issues that arise is, of course, time, which is never abundant. Because of that, I have to focus my tech-issue-resolution session in the most efficient and effective manner possible, partly due to the fact that I need go keep my laptop functioning most of the time, without extended downtimes. I've got a little more researching to do before my next conversion attempt, especially around auto-starting assorted necessary system services, and a few of my own important custom services, though I should be ready for another try within a day or so. I don't go through all this for just any tech, mind you, only for exceptional FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) projects that are community driven, sovereignty focused, and that put freedom first.

Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, quite late (partly due to rain), by around 2:45PM, and being such a rainy day, I focused mostly on various small mostly-indoor chores and tasks. The weather was so uninspiring that I almost forgot to take photos for my posts, though very thankfully I did remember to do so in the early evening. Since I wanted to head up to the Flow House early to make my first Arch-to-Artix attempt, after getting a few important tasks done, I made myself some food (spiced-and-seasoned beef burger, on olive-oil-toasted sourdough, with pepperjack cheese, hot sauce, and Dijon mustard), and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hands, I returned to the Flow House, after starting the generator, to attempt my first OS conversion, and after failing, to begin my evening Hive tasks, as I restored my previous Arch install from a backup. Since I started on Hive so late, after 8PM, I wasn't able to get through all my notifications before I had to stop around 11:30PM to do some asset management, and then to go to bed about 12:30AM. I woke up around 6AM, definitely feeling that I still need more sleep, doing more research on the Arch-to-Artix conversion, going to make my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then heading back to the Flow House, to do a little more research, and then to begin writing this post. It's now just after 12:45PM, so it's a great time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on jungle-community/land work and tasks. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's edition of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

There will be more ALIVE pools coming soon!

This is our collaboratively shared Witness node between the We Are Alive Tribe, and @borniet's and my MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) Project, here to build something good for all of us! The higher in the witness ranking we go, the more that we'll be able to grow the We Are Alive Tribe, and the more that we'll be able to share with all of you!

If you appreciate what we're doing with the We Are Alive Tribe, and feel inspired and motivated to lend a hand in building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, which benefits all of us, community conntributions/donations/investments may be sent to our 'We Are Alive Tribe Sovereign Wealth Investment Fund' account, @waat-swif. They're deeply appreciated, and are put to very good use.

Bjorn is our badass coder who hosts and manages our (and also Bradley's) community backends, he creates all sorts of useful tools, and he assists people all over the Blockchain constantly. He redefines the term 'busy'!

Bradley's tenaciously committed and all-in on Hive for the long haul (just like me!), and the higher his witness goes in the ranking, the higher the weekly BBH and BBHO dividend payouts will be!
