I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

For my less tech-savvy or tech-interested readers, I apologize ahead of time, because this is going to be another somewhat technical post. I'm a tech geek too, among other things, with a deep fascination and love for sovereignty-driven and freedom-focused technologies, both free and open-source software, and open-source hardware (though this is much more challenging to locate), so discussing my various tech adventures and thoughts will always be a recurring theme in my posts, along with lots of other interesting things (to me at least).

I've continued my research into the different init (startup) systems available in Artix Linux, as I prepare to convert or migrate the first of my three separate Arch Linux installations over to Artix Linux. With new information and clarity that I received this morning, and based on my current needs, I've decided to go with dinit, as it seems to fit my idiocyncrasies pretty well indeed.

Now the next order of operation is to set a time, and to decide on a particular detail of the process, whether to do the migration from a running system, or via a chroot from either another one of my Arch installations, or from an Artix live environment, or combination of those methods. I'm still letting that percolate for a bit, because I want to make sure that I accomplish this technical task as easefully, quickly, and smoothly as possible, so no rushing into things quickly.

I'm not sure yet how long the conversion/migration process will take, but I'm going to do my best to keep my computer usable, and my Qortal node running, through as much of it as I'm able. I can't keep it offline for hours, so I've got to be very efficient in how I do things.

Once the actual migration from Arch to Artix is complete, then I've got to replace the KDE Plasma desktop environment with the Sonic desktop environment, which is a fork of KDE Plasma created to continue the use and development of X11 (via XLibre), and finally to swtch from the neglected display server Xorg to its new incarnation XLibre. With system changes of this magnitude, there will very likely be various things that stop working, which I'll need to methodically resolve, though I have no doubt that I will indeed be able to successfully do so, though hopefully quickly.

Yesterday, Monday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by a little after 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. With that completed to my satisfaction, I chopped and dumped bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and I tidied up the area a bit, after which I went to plant several varieties of ti plant cuttings along the path between the Kasbah and structure that houses Braja's composting toilet, to act as a visual screen. Once I had that completed, I took a quick asset-management break up at the Flow House, then I went to plant a few ornamental plants in the ground for Braja, over the graves of two deceased kitties. Upon wrapping that up, I headed to Wabisabi to heat myself up some leftover food that I had in the fridge, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee, I made my way back to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got through all my notifications by just after 10PM, and after some asset management, I went to bed by just after 11PM. I woke up around 6AM, thankfully having slept well, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House to write and publish my goals-and-progress update, to do more research on Artix init systems, and finally to write this post. It's now just before 1:15PM, so it's a wonderful time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. 2026 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
