I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! πππβ‘π₯π₯β΄οΈβ³οΈβοΈπ£π±β¨π€
Warm greetings all! πππβ¨π€
Hive, like humanity itself, is a very mixed bag. I've given a huge amount of my time, energy, focus, passion, commitment, dedication, and even a good amount of financial resources, to Hive, and what I've been building and growing here over the past almost 4 years, because I deeply love and believe in this incredible community-driven Blockchain, and that has never changed. I must say, however, that along with all the amazing and beautiful aspects of Hive that I so immensely appreciate and celebrate, there are also certain things that happen here which deeply disturb, disgust, and hurt my heart.
Seeing people that I've known for years on Hive, and in the We Are Alive Tribe, who are sincerely doing their best (I've never had any reason to question this), and who are actively working to support both our Alive Tribe community, and the greater Hive Ecosystem, getting most of their posts downvoted to zero, as is now happening to @ijelady and @hafiz34, blows my mind and breaks my heart. From my perspective, this directly harms our community, and Hive as a whole, and there is also seemingly no recourse to resolve this issue, because there is no communication about the reason for the downvotes, which to me is abuse. This is so very much not OK with me.
This issue is one of the reasons that we decided expand the We Are Alive Tribe onto Blurt, to create another solid base from which we will be able to support our loyal members. We've still got a lot to do, but the process is already underway.
The one thing that I will say, and which I need to remind myself often lately, is to keep our eyes on our ultimate goal and target for being on Hive, and to keep moving forward, regardless of what's happening around us, or even to us, no matter what. This highlights the importance of learning to adapt, improvise, and overcome when confronted with the sometimes-formidable obstacles that we encounter on our Hive (and our life) journey. Don't let anything, or anyone, stop you. Period. There is always a way.
Hive, and the We Are Alive Tribe, are very important to me, as I believe that I've amply demonstrated, and regardless of the challenges present on Hive, I'm still all-in for the long haul on our beloved Blockchain, just with a somewhat broken and wary heart. My hope, determination, and tenacity are rock solid and indomitable, and I accept the mixed bag that Hive is, while still endeavoring to help make it better, which I know that it can be.
Yesterday, Saturday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, just after 2:15PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. When I had that completed to my satisfaction, I went around the property on a banana-harvesting run, with Avi's assistance. We found many green racks, but only one ripe one. After harvesting bananas, I took a quick asset-management break up at the Flow House, after which I did a little weeding and watering in my nursery behind the Landing, and then a little more machete clearing along the second driveway, near the Flow House. Once I was done with that for the day, I took a shower, then I stopped by the Landing to collect some leftover food, and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and with those in hand(s), I made my way back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I was able to get everything done by just after 9:30PM, and after some asset management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed around 11AM. I woke up just after 1AM, and unable to sleep, I did a little asset management, before making another partially-successful attempt at sleep, waking up again just after 7AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 12:45PM, so it's an excellent time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my 170th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update tomorrow morning, and the next expression of these posts tomorrow afternoon! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! πππβ¨π€
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! πππβ¨π€

Right there with you bro and yes it is total abuse what is happening there is no communication and sadly i also think it is petty reasoning which is why there is none.
I believe if people are supporting certain people or projects then they are taking downvotes for this reason not particularly because there is anything wrong with the content.
I believe it is petty cross fire causing this.
Why do i think this?
Hivewatchers was a project i put 5 hp into for a little while as they was suppose to be watching spammers on Hive.
Someone started to downvote me and when i looked at their content they were anti Hivewatchers, as they were not really doing anything much in my eyes hivewatchers that is, i stopped the delegation and then the downvote stopped.
I believe they were looking at the delegation list for that project and downvoting that list.
I maybe wrong but i don't think i am, this is the sort of petty politics going on right now on Hive.
Very sad, which is even more reason to expand the tribe in my opinion.
Enjoy the banana's when they ripen bro have the best week ahead.

This post has been curated by the Alive And Thriving Team, we curate good content in the We Are Alive Tribe that is on topic for #aliveandthriving, and it's included in our daily curation report on @aliveandthriving, plus @youarealive is following our Curation Trail.
Yes, I've been seeing that as well about downvotes for supporters of some projects, @benthomaswwd. I think it might be very useful to do an analysis of different parameters for the accounts being downvoted, with their delegations being one of those assessed. I'm sure there's got to be some pattern here. I definitely agree about the petty politics, and sadly that's what's weakening our blockchain. I love Hive, as you know (and I know that you do too), but honestly it's too much of a minefield at the moment for newcomers to really have any motivation to try to onboard people (even though this is something that I want to do, and which I still do do sometimes), since Hive is challenging enough as it is already, not even counting downvotes. Hive can be, and needs to be better than this. Yes, it's good impetus and timing to expand the Tribe. Thanks a lot, brother, and I'm wishing you an incredible Tuesday! πππβ¨π€
