I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #1026 - Investment Lesson Learned from XV - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Monday, May 19, 2025

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

The XV investment project was brought to completion by the SPinvest team early this morning (my time), and while I did have returns pretty close to what I was expecting, though a bit less, and there was some profit (also less), due to a rise in the market price of PWR, and my plan to re-establish my previous position in the SWAP.HIVE:PWR pool, in the end my investment did not work out as well as I had hoped. I used almost everything (I left a little SWAP.HIVE for the pools) that I made, 330.96 SWAP.HIVE, to swap for 170.204 PWR, and then I added as much as I could back into the pool, with still just under 100 liquid PWR left in my wallet. That's going to take a while to add into the pool, a little bit at a time, over time.

Originally my stake in the SWAP.HIVE:PWR was 519.45588 shares, 523.42196902 SWAP.HIVE/524.065 PWR, and 2.076% of the total pool liquidity, before I removed 118 SWAP.HIVE/118.146 PWR to invest in XV tokens, in two batches, first with the 118 SWAP.HIVE, and then later with my last 114.351 PWR that I swapped for 130.575 SWAP.HIVE. If the price of PWR did not rise so substantially, this investment would have turned out a lot better for me.

While the XV investment project was a success, and there were certainly profits made, my method of investing didn't work, and this taught me a very important investment lesson, to not sacrifice known gains for potential ones. I was receiving excellent benefits from my former stake in the SWAP.HIVE:PWR pool, and because of the potential profits, I removed a portion of it to invest in XV, which due to the rise in value of PWR, my investment strategy did not pan out as I'd hoped, even though I made a profit. Doh!

On a more positive note, I staked almost 460 BBHO for BBHO Powerup Day/BPUD this morning, and of course I wrote and published a post about it, May BPUD - BBHO Powerup Day - 459.236 BBHO Powered Up!. I had intended to do it last night, but honestly I was feeling pretty off, along with being very tired and sleepy, so I decided to just do it in the morning.

Another bit of good news is that my second batch of 100+ SPS unstaked from Splinterlands, which I immediately sent to Hive Engine, to swap part of it into DEC and PKM, to add into the DEC:SPS and SPS:PKM pools, notably growing my stake in both. I still have two more rounds of SPS unstaking, one per week, and by the end of it my liquidity in these two pools should be double what it is now. One more tidbit of positivity before I wrap up this post is that today is ALIVE Powerup/Staking Tuesday, and shortly after publishing this post, I'll be powering up a little over 400 ALIVE, to participate in our wonderful weekly community challenge. Regardless of how any particular investment goes, I will always adapt, improvise, overcome, and continue forward, learning from my mistakes as I go, and thus improving and refining how I invest in the future.

Yesterday, Monday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, just before 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for these posts, and then some sunbathing on the trampline in the Peanut lawn. As I mentioned above, I was feeling off most of yesterday, so I wanted to get a good bit of sun, as it always makes me feel better. It did help a lot. After sunning, I went to help Braja with two small tasks at her place, and then I headed to the upper coco bar to chop and down bad/used coconuts, and to tidy up the space a little. With the coco bar done, I cleaned up, and then made myself some food (grilled-cheese, on sourdough, with peperjack cheese, pickles, and mixed mustards) in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I made my way back to the Flow House, to get an early start on my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I paused that for a while to go attend the Monday community logistics meeting, which thankfully ended early, after which I returned to the Flow House to continue with Hive. Since I wasn't feeling great, I didn't have much energy and attention to go through all my notifications, so I stopped when I had gotten to 10 hours behind, to do some asset management, and then to go to bed, later then hoped, around 11PM. I woke up at 6AM, having thankfully slept well, definitely feeling way better, doing more asset management, getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, returning to the Flow House to power up my BBHO and write and publish my post about it, selling my XV and buying PWR, then beginning on this post. It's now just after 1:30PM, so a lovely time to end this post, so that may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), and then community/land work. 2025 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
