Hello people of the Hive, I hope you all are doing good. Today is August 1st, which means it is Hive Power Up Day (HPUD)! And it became a special day for me because I finally participated in Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) for the very first time. I am officially participating and I can confidently say that it won't be my last time for sure. I definitely would love to continue doing it.

So, I joined Hive back in March 2025, I was pretty new and still figuring things out. But as soon as I started to share my thoughts I was able to connect with new people and learn new things from this amazing community of Hive. I just fell in love with Hive and the people. To be honest, the concept of freedom intrigued me a lot as it was my first time on a web3 platform. I started blogging here and received good responses. However, life happened and for various personal reasons, I ended up being completely inactive for maybe like 7 to 8 months? I think. Well, during that time I often thought about coming back but I was unable to. But it definitely felt like I was missing something that I genuinely enjoyed.

A few months ago, I finally returned and since then I have been active for a while and writing consistently. I have been slowly rebuilding my account. I remember now why I started in the first place because I didn't feel that Hive is a place only to earn crypto. I thought that it's about meeting people from around the world, sharing experiences and I won't lie it helped me to become a better writer.

The natural next step I thought should be participating in HPUD. I wanted to show my commitment to long-term growth and start building my curation influence. So, I decided it was time to power up 10 HIVE. I know it isn't a huge amount compared to what many long-time users power up but I'm taking a step ahead which I think matters the most. Every big account once started with a small power-up right? It may be a smaller amount for others but for me 10 HIVE represents much more than a number. It marks another milestone in my Hive journey and a promise to keep growing

My First HPUD Experience

Okay, so it wasn't that hard, in case someone gets inspired to power up by reading my post so, I have decided to share the steps. You can use Ecency or PeakD, I will share the steps for both.

The screenshots below show the process from start to finish:

Ecency

Click this icon which is your wallet

Then click on Hive

Next click on Stake

The last step put the amount and click next

Now you can see it in the activities

PeakD

First got to your Hive wallet, you will see Hive, click that button marked

After that click Stake (Power Up)

Then you can add the amount, I am going to choose 10 HIVE for the power-up, click continue

After that I approved the transaction through HiveSigner

Within a few seconds the transaction was complete

A few minutes later, I received my HiveBuzz HPUD badge which felt good as it's like cherry on the top. It's my first HPUD badge and I officially become part of this monthly event.

I'm really happy that I finally took a step and my goal is to continue increasing my Hive Power little by little whenever I can.

This is my first Hive Power Up Day but it definitely won't be my last. I hope that I can continue to join the future HPUD events. I want to grow my Hive Power and continue this journey.

In the end, I want to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged me after I returned to Hive. Also, I hope my post encourages people whoever is reading.
