The worth of it.

Hello, my hive lovers “I am here again” after so many thoughts and procrastinating my comeback like someone who always walks past a certain junction but forgets their destination but fortunately this time around I didn’t forget my junction, I made it to this amazing platform once again and this time around there is no going back to the shadows and surfacing again like an “aqua-woman”.

I’ve really loved this community, and it feels great to be here again, participating in this week’s prompt. Now back to the topic of discussion “WHY”? Often when alone seated all by myself certain questions would be dancing in my head like a disco tone playing. Then I would be like “This DJ has to stop the music” so my head can go back to normal.

Why were we created in the first place? I can’t tell because I didn’t create myself but I believe everyone was created for a purpose and every day of our lives on the earth we try to find that purpose. In the process of finding that purpose, we are still faced with another purpose of making ends meet.

I’m not gonna lie tho the major reason we wake up every morning, get dressed, and run out to find our daily bread is to make money, I don’t think if money fell from trees like their leaves no one including myself would wake up early to run to work. But then the only place I would wake up early to, is mainly to harvest some money from the tree. And after that fateful event, I am back home.

I don’t think life is all about paying bills “well majorly” but then I believe there is more to life than I think it is though. I know often we work hard to make our lives more meaningful but then the hard work would make life feel a bit different when we are learning and growing not just about the money we make while working.

I think the deeper purpose of our creation is to become, this life shapes us, it shapes our character and how we see the world. This life teaches us a lot of things, how to be patient and how to become the best version of ourselves every day while trying to make ends meet. Life is also about the connection we make with others. The purpose of life is not all about paying bills. Though paying the bills is major for our maintainence but then bills can’t hug us.

Our purpose on earth is what we are building while we are here on earth. Showing up every day, building the better life we want and when our future self sees the work we’ve put into building this life, it will thank us later for showing up every day.

Finally, we wake up every day not to accumulate but to become someone worth remembering first to ourselves, secondly to our creator, and lastly to others. One day we won’t be here, nor will our bank alerts of all the money we have been piling up. But the people we lifted, the excellent job we did when no one was watching. The life we touched with the little money we earned when someone else was in need. “Now that sounds like a purpose”.
