Everyone loves holidays and looks forward to them because they're an opportunity to relax, take your mind off work, spend time with family, and rejuvenate and be able to come back stronger to your workspace, not only fresher but also stronger and more efficient. Regardless of how much we love our job, everyone loves to go on holiday, and I can't blame them because it plays a vital role in maintaining good mental health for all individuals, and it makes us happy as well. In my country, we've got about twelve federal public holidays that would surely hold, but yet people feel it's not enough and want more. Are they right to want more, or are they just being lazy? In this article I'll be stating my opinion on this subject matter.
Personally, I for one also love holidays, and I can't hide the fact that I always look forward to them. Despite the fact that I love my work and tend to miss my students each time I'm on holiday, I can't help but still love holidays because, like the popular saying, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." I guess we should just put my name, Victor, in that context, because working tirelessly for months without rest can affect one's mental health, and not only that, it can even take a toll on the physical health, and that's why holidays are essential to strike a balance between work and healthy living.
I understand that aside from the twelve federal public holidays we've got, there are still some smaller ones that are associated with religious rights, in honor of someone in the state, and the like, but come to think of it, twelve days of holiday in a year of over three hundred and sixty-five days is kind of ridiculous, if I'm to say the truth. Yes, you may say we have the weekend to ourselves, but does that make a difference? Some workplaces even require your service through the weekend, whereby you still have to go to the office or work from home, and these often intrude on our family time.
That being said, it's worth noting that I'm actually in for the clamor for more holidays; a happy man would tend to have a better job delivery than one who's unhappy and has to go to work every single day, and that's why I feel like it'll be great to have more holidays incorporated into our yearly calendar, or better still, workdays can be reduced to give room for workers to have enough time to relax, as much as they get for working.
Talking about if such an act of having more holidays will affect our nation's economy, I guess it might and it might not. I mean, what is the usefulness of working around the clock for the past few decades? We've got absolutely nothing to show for it; our economy is still struggling, and we're dealing with inflation, so I don't think what makes our economy decline is too many holidays but poor management on the part of those in charge of running our economy, and that's not even to talk about the corruption aspect of it.

I’m happy to see that someone finally sees from my point of view. Too much of everything is so good. I mean, everyone loves holidays, but the balance are also necessary and essential. And I also love other points you stated out. It was a good read for me and it also made my day. Do have a lovely night rest.
That's good to know, thanks.
Striking a balance is just the way to go.
Actually!
It’s my pleasure
Holidays are essential for us to rest and come back more productive, and in the end, happier. The way I see it, you can never have too many days to recharge your energy.
That's absolutely right, holidays are as important as going to work, because they compliment each other.
