Act Fast or Think Deep: Which Are You?

When it comes to decision-making and taking actions on things, humans naturally have different ways of attempting them. For some, it's quite easy for them to just go with the flow and do things the way they come, while others tend to observe the situation and take critical thinking and cross-examination on things before they take action. Neither is actually entirely bad because both have their good sides. For instance, taking instant steps without prolonged thinking might lead you to grasp opportunities at once, while prolonged thinking can lead to missed opportunities. On the other hand, prolonged deliberation can help one avoid loss, while rash decisions can make one a victim of loss. But which am I accustomed to between both?

When it comes to which is my style between both, it's worth noting that I've actually done both, but I currently mostly do just one at the moment. You see, in the past, when I was much younger, I tended to make rash decisions and delve into things without any or much deliberation on them. And while on a few occasions it turns out to be a great time that helps me leverage and grab the opportunity at hand at that moment; however, on several occasions it usually turns out sore in the end due to how my rash decision leads to me not seeing an obvious danger that's ahead in such things, and it was through experience and growth that I changed my style of attending to things.

So that's what leads to how I attend to things at the moment, which is being calm in the face of things, doing so so I can thoroughly examine the situation of things, the pros and cons of the situation I'm about to delve into amongst many others, and since I've been doing this, I must say that it has greatly helped me avoid lots of predicaments and problems that could have hurt or ruined my life. Beyond that, it has also served as a blessing that has helped me discover some of the blessings in some places I would most likely not have considered had I not been the calm type of person who scrutinizes situations well enough before making decisions and taking actions.

I recognize the fact that there are people who live their lives by taking rash and swift decisions, and it's been working for them well enough. But personally for me, that wasn't the case on most occasions, and that's why I had to port to the other way of doing things, which, although it might be time-consuming, beyond that helped me explore every aspect of a situation and take calculated risks that would most likely prevent me from loss and bring about growth and progress in my life. I'm grateful for the day I made the day I decided to change my way of attending to situations because that was the day my life began to experience more positive changes in several aspects.

What is your own style of attending to situations? Are you the type to attend to situations swiftly without taking time to consider things, or are you the one to take calculated risks due to the amount of time you spend deliberating on the situation before taking actions?
