We all have a motto we live by; these are beliefs or words that have happened not just in our lives on what we want to be but also on how we want to act. Our motto is more like our identity, because it's what defines us, as in it defines our actions, how people perceive us, and what they expect from us, because our motto goes a long way to show what we're capable of to those around us, and with your words and actions, through the year they can literally state what you're capable of. Just like everyone else, I also have a motto, and below I'll be talking about it and how it came to be.

Just to confirm the fact that how our words and actions through the years can make those around us tell what our motto might be as an individual, I asked my wife what she thinks is my motto, given all that she has noticed about me through the years, and I must say that even though she explained each of the points in different ways, they do align with what I know as my motto and have been living by through the years. So I'm sure you'll be wondering what she says are my words. Well, firstly, she said I'm someone who, once I lay my heart on something, makes sure I work towards it. She said I'm a man of my word, and that's when I hardly waver from my beliefs. Lastly, she said I'm a kind person who cares about those around him.
So what then is my motto in life? Well, talking about my motto, I'm an individual who wants to grow, proactive about it. My belief is to be kind to those around me to the best of my capacity because I know what it feels like to lack, need help, and know what being helped can do. My motto is to succeed, lay my act on something, and make sure I achieve it. I'm always skeptical before chasing a dream because I explore all grounds, and that's why when I finally pick up one, I make sure I follow it to the letter. Most of all, I take my inner peace paramount; I don't like to delve into anything that'll steal my peace.
In a nutshell, we can simply say my motto is absolute commitment, kindness, and inner peace.

Talking about how I came about these mottos, well, it's a testament to years of experience and rigorous learning and brooding from my parents, guidance, life lessons, and challenges. All of these together are how I came about these mottos and why I strongly live by these mottos, because I know what it feels like to be alone, to lack, to be down; I know what it feels like to fail, to be disappointed, and that's why I make it a point of duty to choose my battles wisely and to make sure I see each one to the end and as well come through for those around me, show love and kindness, because we all need them to sail through.

Huhm, this is a beautiful and thoughtful piece.
I've definitely picked up one or two from this...
So good to see that you choose peace over whatever, if it's not giving you that, it can go.
Thanks for sharing
