WE ARE NOT BEHIND, WE ARE STILL BECOMING

At a very young age, as kids and teenagers, we all have unspoken expectations and dreams, we set our dream career, life, and everything, even though we have no idea of the future, what we are doing or anything, it seems like we have figured out everything, even when we are clueless of our path and future in years to come. As years goes by we keep discovering ourselves and realizing who we truly want to be and start designing our future.

At early stages, we learn ourselves, our strength, weaknesses, and the kind of life we are actually building. This might seem like uncertainty, because that's how our society makes it look like, some even make it seem like failure, but no, it's not uncertainty or failure, but figuring out our lives. It's alright to change choices, career paths, go back to school if we want to, start our lives all over, regardless of what people and the society might feel or say about your choices. It's not a waste of time, it's self discovery.

There is a different timeline for everyone. They are people who discover their passion really early and get it figured out very early, their career and every aspect of their life, and they are those who spend years trying different things and figuring life out.

Some also get opportunities really early and faster than others, and for others there isn't an opportunity, and they have to struggle to create one for themselves.

However, the harsh truth is that time doesn't wait for anyone. The more we get old and grow up, we keep realizing that 365 days is actually shorter than we think, years keep going by and by. We realize that the future is closer than we think, we keep living that future and this is one thing that creates pressure and eagerness to figure it out in all the ways possible. There is a big fear of getting older and not figuring it out early enough and fear of many things, like being unsuccessful or a failure. At this point, the goal should be working hard, figuring life out through hardwork and patience.

I understand the value of time, and it's very natural to feel bad when we humans feel we aren't utilizing our time properly, but the fear of time shouldn't be the reason we make choices that could cause harm to us.

It's okay to start all over, and change our plans at anytime without considering ourselves a failure or time wasters. Life is not a race and everyone has to work at their perfect time.

We all start at different times, get to our different destination at our own time. It's okay to figure out life gradually without competition. Time is precious, but shouldn't be the reason we make choices that we will live regretting for the rest of our lives.

It's okay, not to have everything figured out in life and to start navigating your way into figuring your life out. I believe the first step should be understanding where you find yourself in life at that particular phase, strategizing good plans and steps to go next and build enough courage to face your next step in life. We just have to keep finding a way because we can't control time, time keeps moving regardless of how we choose to live life. We should keep asking ourselves how to utilize the time we have now.

It is true that time waits for nobody and at the same time, it's okay if we don't have it all figured out now. The fact that some are doing well now doesn't mean we won't too.. it is just a process, and if we keep on going, we will get there too.

Thanks for sharing.
